You two guys are the athletes, who have inspired me the most. You make me believe that I can do ANYTHING. I train martial arts and I love it. For me, it's all about learning new stuff and having fun. :D I wish more people would actually try out different sports and find out what activities they like doing instead of dragging themselves to the gym. It might be healthy to work out, but it's probably more healthy to have fun while doing it. :)
So refreshing hearing Ross say he's just training for the enjoyment of it. Pretty rare in the fitness industry where it seems like everyone is trying to sell something, even it's a goal of some sort.
Same here! Following Ross ever since they faced off two years ago which sure doesn't feel like it's been that long ago! Got into powerlifting because of him and am super thankful for it and what it did to me mentally and physically. That, plus his big smile!
Hi Ross! As a badminton player it’s super interesting hearing about methods of increasing rotator cuff/shoulder range whilst maintaining strength! I’m about to start my masters in sports nutrition and your videos do inspire me to see the transferable nature of sports and a holistic view of athletic performance! Please keep up the great work and carry on pushing the boundaries 💪💪
It’s so easy to get caught up in the end goal that we forget to just enjoy the process! Love the attitude of using the body as an instrument, not an ornament. The fitness industry could use some more Ross Edgley’s! As always a true legend and specimen!
Your an inspirational character Ross. I like the message from the vlog and glad your enjoying the process rather than a specific goal. Listened to ‘the worlds fittest book’ and have taken a lot from your approach to the great British swim. I find myself drawing inspiration on my long runs or tough training days..focus on the process, one for in front of the other and the goal is inevitable. Cheers. Oh and you should deffo have listened to nile, those hands look stingy! 👍💥
Hey Ross. Great video matey, loving the training to train thing. Would love to see you hooking up with Eddie 'The Beast' Hall for some weight training/strongman and swimming vids. Keep up the good work 💪🏼
Ross you're such an inspiration, by doing incredible physical achievements and by being such a big ray of sunshine in your content, you're giving me (and many people i guess) a lot of motivation! I did a marathon out of nowhere a few months ago at 20 and train for an half-ironman right now! Thank you so much for changing my life and keep it up! PS: I can't wait to get your new book
Awesome to see that gymnastics already has that all-important mobility + prehab work built into it. I spent years beating my body up with football, martial arts and strength training without paying any attention to that kind of stuff. Made that switch from focussing on intensity to prioritizing movement quality several years back now, and things have slowly but surely improved. It's something I cover a lot on my channel now - just wish it was something I jumped on sooner in my own movement practice!
I think that's what I'm missing. I used to be a gymnast but I had to retire because of an injury. And now for me, training has no pourpose, so I don't get motivated, and I've been training less and less, little by little. So maybe I'm missing that thing, accepting I have no goal, and just train for the sake of it
Man meeting you was awesome. Your words are inspiring. On point man. Keep it up. Hope to train together some day at the gymshark lifting club. Keep at it champ.
such a good video I love the information that you give out! always put in a good way. its hard t find a good level of science and entertainment and you are nailing it!!!
Interesting to think about what Ross is built for... certainly Crossfit and Weightlifting but as for a select sport probably more Discus/Hammer throw or even Ice Hockey over Swimming or Gymnastics.
I love your positivity Ross. I enjoy your content very much. Also I have a question, what is the best way to get into fitness. I have plantar fasciitis and tibial tendonitis in both feet and legs. So its a bit trickier for me to workout for long periods. I do enjoy dancing and its great cardio, but can't do that with the pandemic. Any advice?
Your jaw and smile are very similar to Brian Blessed's. He's also a physical over achiever, so next time your about to do something nuts try saying "Oh well, who wants to live forever. Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Interesting what the gymnast says about flexibility & injury / strength etc. Peter Sagan (3 x World Cycling Champion) can do splits and all sorts - doubt many of the current pro-peleton are as flexible as him, which may be why he has the advantage? :)
The ripped calluses. It happens a lot to me and when I cut them off.. it’s horrible pain in the night. It burns like hell. Bet ross had a bad bad time, I know he will deny it but he suffered that night or took a pain pill ? Trust me this stuff is crazy painful. I have had skinned feet and it’s unbearable. Question is what can you do against ripping the calusses? I have heard people say go to the swimming hall and scratch them off?
Hi Ross. You must get through hella kcals. Any tips for nutrition/ training to keep on the size whilst smashing so much cardio. I cycle 24 mile 5 day a week and weight train but cant get past 85kg bodyweight. Cheers elliot
I’ve dislocated my right shoulder three times right but I had surgery to get it sorted and I’ve never had an issue since but fuck me I cringed and actually squinted at the screen when they did the shoulder exercise with the pole😬😬😬🤮🤮🤮
sounds balance is unfortunately, in my opinion, not well managed. or at least on my mobile with my headphones, I hear loud music, background sounds more than what yiur saying. and ge issue, is that you are saying plenty of really interesting points :)
You're a Legend Ross! Excited for round 2 on the H bar 😉
Now time to watch it via your channel. All the best going forward!
Love the videos with u two they are awesome loved the podcast too!

You really love your white shorts .....😸
"gymnasts are so good at preventing injury" - proceeds to absolutely massacre his hands.
That’s not an injury
Yeah gymnasts not swimmers 😝😂
MERELY A FLESHWOUND
@@andrewtricking How is it not? Are injuries only broken bones and eye sockets to you?
Ross is genuinely a human golden retriever! Just spreading happiness !
Cheers mate !
Juji is a top person for you to talk to, man. Huge body builder that can do the splits and backflip. Then on to Magnus Midtbø.
Love you ross. The music is a bit loud though and it drowns out your conversation
Just came here to say exactly the same thing!
So refreshing hearing Ross say he's just training for the enjoyment of it. Pretty rare in the fitness industry where it seems like everyone is trying to sell something, even it's a goal of some sort.
I just found your channel by Niles video and you are so motivating!
You just seem like a ray of sunshine and it really motivates me!
Thank you!

It hurts my shoulders just watching the scenes at 8:19 and after
the music is way too loud and is hard to hear them

Love the phrase "Don't discriminate against any or favour one, as soon as you do you close your mind and limit your potential"
Ross & Nile, legends. Great vid from start to finish. I always enjoy your content, Ross! All the best!

Smiles from start to finish .. your enthusiasm is infectious!
loved this ross, but the music was so loud could barely hear everyone 😥

I would love to see how nile does in the ice water swim.
Same with luke, and i believe the bear would absolutely love it. Catch some fish while he’s in the water.
Man meeting you was awesome. Your words are inspiring. On point man. Keep it up. Hope to train together some day at the gymshark lifting club. Keep at it champ.

It is exciting to watch you train for the sake of training, like you said it’s nice......your hands however didn’t look that nice! 💪🏼

Why do I get the feeling you've been working on the shoulder/stick thing ever since this day? :P
What a brilliant video! Thank you
You are wonderful, thanks for sharing
Really interesting watching where y'alls eyes go doing this.
Could you turn down the music in the future, please? It's really hard to listen to your conversation with that loud music. Thanks!
Haha that shoulder pop thingy was a constant in our swimming training :D £i don't miss it one bit though.. :p
Jeff Cavalier be shitting himself at that shoulder sorcery...
So inspirational!
Only Ross can rip huge flaps of skin off his hands and be like "well let's go workout" the man's a machine!!!

Loved the Vlog Bro... 👊
The music around the 7 minute mark is soooo loud can't hear them talk

"Oh well, who wants to live forever. Ha ha ha ha ha!"
OMG those palms LOL Poor Ross....
HAve you done any weightlifting, as in Snatch and Clean and jerk? if not, you should learn that!
Wonder how much that hurt later that day, or the day after. Ouch!
awesome song in the video what was it?
How are you not more popular brother !!! Its so awesome watching you get after it
Feel sad when Ross said that gymnasts have bullet proof shoulders, knowing what Niles has gone though after this vid was made .
Dude, you should try out parkour, it's great for both mental and physical training :-)
Ross please go back to meet Nile again
It's mental that Ross with that shitty shoulder mobility swam around England...
Ross eres muy tipo genial, te dmiro , un saludo desde españa
taoist approach to training
Is this the guy? This is the guy!
Owww, the hands being slashed😰
Love watching you and your adventures...but just a thought, why didnt you put gloves on or bandage your hands???
From 5:29 to 6:33 Nile is just been put in wwe and jiujitsu submission
Interesting what the gymnast says about flexibility & injury / strength etc. Peter Sagan (3 x World Cycling Champion) can do splits and all sorts - doubt many of the current pro-peleton are as flexible as him, which may be why he has the advantage? :)
Nile is a funny guy 😂
R u sure he's not a bodybuilder instead of a swimmer 😂😂
Hes both I think
It’s funny I think you will listen the next time to gymnasts haha 😂😜
