Perfora is actually a very nice brand, I have been using their brushes for about 4 months now and trust you me my teeth used to be yellow before and after using their electric toothbrushes my teeth are almost white in just 4 months and I have not even used their toothpaste yet.

The toothpaste with active ingredients helps a little, and the things that get the work done are teeth whitening strips or some solution. Switching to electric won't make any massive changes, the changes will be so minute that you will hardly be able to tell if you are brushing properly using a manual brush for a good 2 minutes or more. If this guy isn't capping then maybe he didn't brush properly.
