I have no clue how online actions work...I'm better with sewing machines than computers. What ever you don't sell, I'll buy the lot. I need all the supplies I can get for my charity! :) Thank You!!
Thrift Trader,12:13. I collect buisness cards, and would desperately love to have any you find. Of course would pay for them and postage. Please let me know how I can get my hands on them Also, the American bank trust mini calender grabbed my attention. People don't generally want these, so please think of me!
It's amazing how little you know about what you find. The units I have watched of yours are items and life from the 50s, 60s and 70s. There is more to life than just looking for cash.
The stamps can be soaked in a bowl of cool water for a couple of hours to unstick them. Lay flat on paper towels to dry. I have purchased them off the internet for art projects.
Your greatest treasure is your Grandfather. The time spent with him is precious and irreplaceable, not to mention the video of your treasure hunting together.
I remember when my late Aunt died, the family wondered if she had any money to bury her? Large unit of 5+ large drawers, had money in everything!, so we had to go through everything with a fine tooth comb, result £4,500+ cash and a bank account with £3,000+. She lived life very simply, due to having Menengitis as a teenager, and shared the house with her maiden Aunt, who passed before her! Also I remember coins and stamps too!! Quaint 🥰🥰
You can unstick stamps over steam, or put then in the microwave with a tiny bit of water in a cup. Zap them for ten seconds and they can be unstuck. Dads smart. Those stamps may Be worth a mint. Especially to a collector!
I love to watch the memories you are making with your pa pa. Something I wish I would have had time to do with mine and my parents. God bless you both.
Some of the ephemera would be great for crafters like me. We make junk journals. Stamps, especially cancelled out come in handy. We also use broken costume jewelry and beads, old paper, old books of ANY KIND and condition. I would love those old business cards and receipts too. Oh yeah, and any old fabric trims, etc.. I would be interested in some of those things myself.
Ok I'm so jealous that you found all of the crafting things. I'm a crafter, I craft almost EVERY DAY. CONGRATS ON THE FINDS, also on the money as well.
I love that you go through everything and appreciate finding even a few bucks. This reminds me of the time I had to sift through my parents home to clear everything out. There was money shoved here and there, it really forced me to go through EVERY receipt and envelope...it took a long time to clear everything out. Most people would have dumped everything into a trash can. I even found a stack of love letters that my dad had written to my mom while stationed in Okinawa during WWII.
Hi Jason, another good video. I can't believe you are still going through that unit and keep finding good stuff for your auctions. I just learned Papa is the same age of my dad, it's cool. I am also happy to know that Papa has a good friend like Mary and that she is also helping you unboxing. Say hi to both of them. Too bad you are back home after that lovely weekend with the family. Blessings to you and the whole family. 🤗🤗🤗
So much stuff in there! All those envelope for postage with money I bet even the penny given you quite a bit! Love all the old stuff in there. Can’t wait for next auction💚💚
A lot of those old receipts and lists and stuff from those wallets can be sold in 25 or 50 piece lots on Etsy as ephemera. People use them in art, jewelrymaking and collages and stuff.
My former husband was a hoarder When he passed away I had to clean out his house. I found money all over the place, coins, bills and yes tons of stamps. It's amazing what makes hoarders save.
You and dad work awesome together that's so cool .I miss my mom and sister and hubby there gone I always everyone cherish your family..you have their beautiful your dad is so cool counting the money..your family my dear and your beautiful wife you guys make me laugh and cry happiness .god bless everyday be safe.
Jason, I'm so glad this is the unit that keeps on giving! Looks like there's gonna be quite a few of us lusting after the fabric 😁. Please don't forget to look for anything to do with our artist; if there's more, maybe one day we'll get it all together, and I can take a roadtrip to OK so we can take it to the museum.
I watch a RUclips channel called VIVMOM Sews and she is constantly scouring Ebay for vintage patterns. All those patterns and crafting supplies have great value.
I'm interested in seeing the fabrics. Keep an eye for the ring boxes and stuff. Someone donated a ring box to goodwill no ring but 4 100 dollar bills folded underneath the insert
Thrift Trader-I remember when I was growing up in the rural south that people would leave money in an envelope in their mailbox with a note for a book of stamps. I think that's the reason for the envelopes with the money and the receipts. I know my Mother would do that and so would my grand mother.
But the carrier was to take it, buy the postage and return the postage to the customer. Looks like she just kept the money? I would think people would complain at not getting their postage so I find it strange.
The Butterick company made the patterns I used as a young sewer. The fabrics in there hopefully can be washed and used. I'm sure it's very good quality fabrics. Check your books & bibles for $$ as well. Nice find. You surely got your $ back
I love the old vintage stuff. The recipe card boxes you can have your mom or grandma hand write her favorite recipes on a 3” x 5” index card and you keep them in the box in the kitchen for reference. Nice find. also please remove the stack of checks in the brown wallet. I used to hide money behind my checks in case of emergency. Please let us know if you find anything. Also the back corners of the storage unit you will typically find your best scores. Good luck!
I agree with Marcy, I know WAY BACK when PaPa was a "kid" like me, often we got Postage Due notices, or needed to mail something and lacked a stamp we'd tape money to something, or put it in an envelope for the carrier. and an aside to the stamps stuck together, place them in a bowl of HOT water to release the adhesive and dry them face down on a piece of glass or an UNUSED Cookie sheet, dabbing them with a paper towel will speed their dry time. Then they can be used with a glue stick to adhere them on outgoing mail.
We even did this in the 1970's and 1980's in Minnesota...taping money for a stamp or putting money in an envelope leaving it in your mailbox. Or if you had postage due the mail carrier would put the amount due in a small envelope and we'd put the money in it for them. I'm 49 yrs old.
Thanks for letting us know how much you paid at auction. I'm going to look at this in my city. It's full of storage places. You did really well on this . And it looks like hard work but lots of fun.👍
If you soak the stamps which are stuck together, in warm water, they will seperate after 15 minutes. Lay them on a paper towel and once dried, use a glue stick to use them as postage
Back in the 80's you could put those tan envelopes in your mail box with the correct amount of change for the postage lady/man to put stamps on your mail for you.
The patterns are worth something to people who make historical clothing. Go through the stamps and sort for year and collectible value. Coins for silver and material for quality. Material can be donated to organizations who quilt.
Michelle she had all those stamps on her they probably were paying her & she placed the postage on there... I could be wrong but my thought with all the stamps they’ve found so far lol
Love your vlogs been waiting sooo long im recovering from major surgeries so i am watching all your vlogs thank you for your time making them...the stamps you really should check some of them out .. I say a space shuddle stamp ..that a collecters addition. $$$$😋👍👍👍

Did you sell the fabric
I would love those old patterns Would love that material, too!
It's amazing how little you know about what you find. The units I have watched of yours are items and life from the 50s, 60s and 70s. There is more to life than just looking for cash.
I like those shelves
The stamps can be soaked in a bowl of cool water for a couple of hours to unstick them. Lay flat on paper towels to dry. I have purchased them off the internet for art projects.
Your greatest treasure is your Grandfather. The time spent with him is precious and irreplaceable, not to mention the video of your treasure hunting together.
That man is great 👍
Greetings from South Africa... seeing your dad be part of your founds, I so envy for not having my dad around. Stay blessed.
Love seeing pawpaw back at he. He sure enjoys going thru the stuff. This unit has to be one of you best ones.
Well Jason, another interesting day. She certainly made you work for those few bucks, but lots of Treasures in there.
Hello
I REALLY want All the craft and sewing stuff
You hit the mother load for sure! The shelving units alone are worth what you paid for the units. Mind blowing!
You could sell all that fabric and make so much money. Or make some cool clothes with it!!! The possibilities are endless!!
Thanking you for sharing this. I never tire of the amazing relationship you two men share.
The bins...valuable to keep your business organized

I think your paw paw and his beautiful lady friend are really enjoying themselves. It’s great that you are spending time with them.
Oh wow she was an amazing hoarder‼️‼️‼️‼️
I have enjoyed watching you hope you find a ton of money
Hi PawPaw and Mary .. Don't make Jason work you to hard now., Always Love seeing PawPaw.. WOW ya still have alot to get done there..

But trick makes clothing patterns. I've used them and have some vintage ones right now!
Some collector will be so happy with it!
Hello
I love to watch the memories you are making with your pa pa. Something I wish I would have had time to do with mine and my parents. God bless you both.
Glued to this locker. Amazing stuff. Nice to see papa back.
You have a fortune of antiques there !!!
Holy crap its the unit that keeps on giving pure blessings bless you both love you and papa your videos are so amazing 😉

All of your old toys and dishes are the real value in these storage units. The antique clothes and fabric ay $4.00 for fabric will pull in the $$.
This mail lady answers my question on why mail goes missing. 😂
I do believe she was stealing from the government,, too. Those totes with U.S. Mail on the side was enough to send her down the road.
@@mermaidgirl9232 At the least all those amounts found in postage due envelopes belonged to the post office/gov't.
OMGOSH love the fabric I make grocery store bags with them. OMGOSH!
Ok I'm so jealous that you found all of the crafting things. I'm a crafter, I craft almost EVERY DAY. CONGRATS ON THE FINDS, also on the money as well.
Love you going through those pieces of paper. Show more of that. Excites me every time you find moeny!
Steam those STAMPS, they should come off easy!! That's COOL WHAT Y'ALL HAVE FOUND!!

Hi

The material and patterns are wonderful. I see and love older material.
Holy crap.....that fabric

It’s a deep issue that makes hoarders do act this way!! Drama in history

Hello
A stamp collector would have a heart attack to see the way you toss old stamps around.

@@karenhenderson8850the rural carrier would buy the stamps to have to sell to their customers. Don't need to return the money to the PO.
You folks are very entertaining.
Glad to see pawpaw back ! Hi to Mary !
Good to see pa out
Those International Correspondence School books are AWESOME

SAVE all those stamps. A collector knows how to get them apart

Thanks for letting us know how much you paid at auction. I'm going to look at this in my city. It's full of storage places. You did really well on this . And it looks like hard work but lots of fun.👍
You can drop all those plastic mail trays and bins back at any post office. They will be glad to get them.
Fun video. So much to look at. 😊

Love this! But its not "brand new". Is totaly unused! So cool!
What fun!!
Back in the 80's you could put those tan envelopes in your mail box with the correct amount of change for the postage lady/man to put stamps on your mail for you.

I love old patterns. I've got one from 1910 that I framed for my sewing room.
Since she was a mail carrier, I bet all those singles and all that change came from customers who didn't have stamps and we're paying her for postage
that money belonged to the postal service
