Proofing the unfairness of humanity and the world, some people allways gets crap when they didnt do anyhting. Tanjiro only wanted to live a life but a demon came and slaughtered hes family. Naruto wanted to become hokage but everybody rejected him. Luffy wanted to become the king of the pirates but lost his brother in the procces. Eren just wanted to live a normal life but he lost his whole family. So truly anime proofes that the world is a terrible place for people, but you will allways find one happy thing. I hope...

There's about 200 deaths in AOT, I just checked. There's exacty 189 on-screen or so, thus basically; AOT's plot and development is based off of the 200 dead characters.
spoilers for the stinky doo doo bozos who haven't watched one piece ace's death is so important to the story in my opinion not only because its truly tragic, but it also shows that luffy has vulnerable moments too and isn't a complete emotionless monster. the paramount war is literally my favorite arc in all of one piece
