Sir, I have a question. Please read and reply. I'm aiming to become a good frontend developer as a fresher. I have knowledge of databases and Node.js/Express, but not as deep as my knowledge of frontend. I'm in my final year now. Do you think it's better to be a generalist or a specialist in 2024? For example, someone who says they know frontend, backend, DevOps, blockchain, and cloud as a fresher, which means they have some knowledge of these areas but not in-depth. Would you prefer to hire a specialist frontend developer or a generalist with some frontend knowledge? Everyone writing on their profile that they are full-stack developers just because they know the MERN, ig full-stack is lot more than MERN.
I'm a civil engineer with 5 years of experience and my salary is 3 lpa Now I'm 28. It it possible to switch to coding? I do have some interest in coding but never took it seriously. I don't want to come into it coding for money. Even 4 lpa is more than enough for me. But just for better Work life balance. my home is in delhi but i have to stay in rajasthan for the job. no week off nothing just allow to go home once in every 3 months.
