Sherri as I was recuperating with chemo last winter (colon cancer) it was one of your videos that introduced me to “ASMR “ ! They are so relaxing and a “tiptoe from the past” ! Although much better , I’m delighted fan and keep a daily dose of “Mid Mod Meridian “ close at hand !

I think this is Pamela’s mom- she wears button down shirts (possibly made from a Simplicity pattern?) like Pamela’s mom. The Avon ladies don’t wear button down. She also uses that stamp rolling thing like Pamela’s mom used the lint brush. Plus, this lady in this video was so eager and confident with the ruler stick thing when she was wrapping the box. Just like Pamela’s mom would be with measuring fabric for the sewing.

This is just dreamy. Old post offices a bit like old libraries were very ASMR inducing. Ok so here’s a slightly odd but kind of interesting thing I wanted to mention. I’m English. I live in Manchester England. Anyway one of my most consistent triggers for the tingly sensation I get is when Americans say the word “ and “ It’s quite uncanny. I’ve no idea why that particular word induces the tingling but it just does. Strange but true. I absolutely loved this video.
Interesting but not surprising. I think English ASMRtists have very tingle-inducing accents-also German. I wish I knew what an American accent actually sounds like. 😂😂 Hard to get any perspective. 💚

What a wonderful comment, Brian. As far as insights into ASMR, I think it is deeply connected to sounds and visuals that happened during a comforting time in our childhood. I have many triggers, but one I particularly enjoy is a sandy or gritty sound. On the face of it, that doesn’t really sound very nice, but when I was a child my parents took us to the beach every year for vacation. We were lower middle class and so always stayed in a beach shack or a very inexpensive motel. But I’m sure those vacations were filled with the sound of sand-digging for sea shells, making sand castles and sand candles on the beach. Memories of my mother are particularly strong.

Really cool video that really hits the relaxing vibes. You should do a "2000's Post Office in the UK ASMR". It's mostly the same format as this one, but after 20 minutes, you can't get your computerised accounts to balance and a relaxing police officer arrives, whispers that you've stolen tens of thousands of pounds and drags you away. Then you can do a subsequent relaxing ASMR bankruptcy hearing video for the money you didn't steal, and then a third relaxing miscarriage of justice hearing ASMR video in a criminal court, where a whispering judge wrongly sentences you to two years in prison.
