I think Nico Jackson is going to bring in a lot of points this season. He has been overlooked by a lot of managers. I captained him for this week and it paid off. I might even triple captain him against a promoted side. He is looking too good at the moment.
Incredible captaincy, fair play. Feels like West Ham were part of the reason for why it was so easy for Chelsea tbf but Jackson is by no means a poor pick
@@FPLFran With who tho, Lewis looks like he's not getting more than 45min, Greaves... Ipswich, imo it would be better to just downgrade Calvert lewin to Ndiaye ( their winger ) and use that money for a better defender than Dunk, having transfers this year up till 5 will not make us rotate players for that long anyway

From a strategy pov I think you can just aim to go for moves like Palmer -> Son, Gabriel -> Porro. Maybe even Havertz -> Solanke and try to bet on the upside of Havertz in the short
I'm concerned of not having Salah and Diaz on my wildcard. Initially I also planned to go Salah to Saka and maybe Palmer, but Liverpool look too explosive and Wolves / Palace next two are hardly top quality defences
Agreed. I don't understand why so many managers are removing Liverpool players in this wildcard. Their fixtures aren't that bad. Only Arsenal in GW 9. Chelsea is looking good, but Pool should be able to score on anyone. I can understand dropping Salah to spread funds, but not having Diaz? This is quite interesting and risky.
@@chrisjohnson1312 Yes mate, if Liverpool win the next game 4-0 which is very plausible, then I know I'll be scrambling around to try and get Diaz and the WC is being ripped up already. I think Diaz, Watkins and Wood are better than Palmer, Joao and Lewin. In my view, we should add Liverpool and Forest players to the squad, Aina and Konaté in defense for example. Thank you for sharing your WC draft. Have a good day !
Your squad sounds good. The one thing I like about having Palmer (plus Saka) is that it gives you an option to go back to Salah or Son in the future. If you spread that money around it will be hard to get a Palmer, Son or Salah later
Fran what do u think of starting with robbo/virgil for gw6/7 then transferring into gvardiol after 7. Just see gvardiol not keeping a cs against newcastle and see lfc keeping potentially 2 cs in 6 and 7
Watkins and L.Diaz > J.Pedro and Palmer I feel that change may happen after we realize Diaz is likely to start vs Wolves(a). Bowen has Ipswich(h) in gw7 and is still reasonably priced 7.5m
DCL pick reminds me of when you wanted to go armstrong for gw1..not sure that going for the striker of one of the teams with the worst projection is a good idea in terms of points. (Armstrong scored 5 pts in 5 matches!)
Cheers mate. I’ve had an ok GW5 so far but regret going with Digne instead of Konsa & I’m concerned now about his minutes. I’m also worried about Bowen as West Ham really aren’t looking so good. Interesting draft, but great Really appreciate how fast you made this video! I activated mine on saterday and caught a few price raises. Whats your opinion on Rico Lewis after the game?
Hey Fran, I’d love to hear what you think about Bowen and Solanke. I’m without palmer and whether or not that will come back to bite me or not I can’t really see myself moving into him with that GW8-11 run. Good draft ! Kai Havertz home record though is quite good. Understand there is a concern over his positioning but if he were to play 9, upside is quite high over Raya. Additionally Kepa could also be a good short term keeper. He is making lot of saves so floor is largely 3/4 points.
Good point as I think with UCL he'll be rotated with Trossard and Jesus. Raya is a good set and forget, this week is a good chance with their fixtures coming up and you can leave him there the rest of the season tbh
Nice initial draft. I was curious about your thoughts on Watkins? And with the rotation/minutes risk Palmer recently has (assuming trend continues) does it make Jackson a better value Chelsea asset?
I think the key is not getting too stuck in on the last game and looking at wider sub patterns. There are probably more games where Palmer plays more mins. Watkins is definitely a great pick but half the ‘run’ I would say is gone and he’s not at some ridiculous price point like Rogers
Hey fran, I really thought you would talk a bit about wood he's been great and he was on penalties today and scored and his fixtures looking really good from gw6 onwards..
why do you not see offensive bumps? They aren't even much better of an offense than they were last season at all. The improvement has been made in defense so far.

we probably have different team values. I'd recommend dropping Raya to Flekken, maybe dropping Palmer to Luis Diaz if you want and then making moves around that. I'd personally go Bruno but know people don't love that aha
Nice team but I'm personally not as high on Semenyo xMins as you Fran. He went off 70 mins last game and Iraola loves an early double winger sub. He's also on no set pieces or penalties. Especially with Evanilson's minutes gradually increasing, it's quite clear to me that Semenyo is not going to be the talisman in the team. But on the other hand, he's only 5.5
@@LyndonDyke They've been very decent since the 2nd half of last season. Trust me, I've been following them. It's just hard to recommend an asset as their finishing is still not to the level of their chance creation and there is no clear 90 min talisman without Solanke.
I do think that’s mostly game state given the 0-3 position but it’s a fair point. Evanilson’s minutes clearly conflate with Unal’s too and I don’t see him being the talisman but up to you
@@FPLFran Yes, but I only mentioned Evanilson because Sinesterra and Ouattara have been coming on for him. But now that Unal is back and coming on for him, Iraola is reverting to subbing 2 of the 3 behind the no. 9 off around 60-70 mins. There is still no clear talisman in the side imo.
I don’t get it. How are you going to make transfers without hitting the transfer button. It’s going to take you a lot of points .. don’t get it.. I hit the button yesterday and my value grew with 0.7 or more..
So by delaying activating the wildcard you are just pushing up/down prices for the rest of us? I have never heard of people doing this. I presume though most don’t (I’d be afraid I’d forget to activate it and be stuck with a 32 point hit).
@@youjustreadthis897 fran mentioned if you make your transfers as hits then you contribute to price rises and falls whereas while being on wildcard i have to assume then they don’t?
Brighton fixtures are poor so why having Dunk and Pedro? For the forward position I think you have to start with Watkins on WC given that first few fixtures are good and then switch to Solanke or someone similar. To me it is better than Palmer.
I've been believing since last season. I just think that Chelsea have too much rotation so I can probably get more value elsewhere. I also think that we might be overreacting a touch to the perf. vs WHU (they are indeed awful)
Porro is nailed for me, if you look at him as a midfielder, he’s good value for money being 5.5. Guy has upside second only to Trent, Arsenal defence has more consistent 6 pointers of course.
I wcarded in gw4. A very similar squad to yours. Unlucky to have wissa benched with mci and injured. 2 transfers banked. Currently planning to keep jota, sell salah and wissa for saka and watkins and leave eze/semenyo out to mbeumo in for gw7

I’m not sure I like any of the cheaper mids to Semenyo. Think I’d rather go back into pool on gw10 +
Planning to cap semenyo in Gw6
fair enough, that's pretty wild but nice!
But on the other hand, he's only 5.5
5.5 playing for a team who had nearly 20 shots vs Liverpool, it’s almost a no brainer with how much improvement Bmouth have made as a team.
I am gonna go Konate over Rico Lewis and reassess in a couple of weeks
That’s sensible. Might want to drop dunk then
@@FPLFran Change of plan. Konate to Collins, Wood to JP and then upgraded Eze to Luis Diaz. I'll prob change it back again tomorrow lol
Hi Fran, I cant afford Raya on my wild card, do you rate any other keeper around the 4.8 million mark or under?
Kepa maybe. Or just flekken
@@FPLFran yes they seem good options, what do you think of Sanchez and Sels?
What do you think about Mavididi from GW7?
very good, if the mins stay as good as they are.
Fran your 1 transfer isn’t going to affect price changes😂
But the amount of wildcarders who watch this will have an effect unfortunately
Yeah but more than 1 person might do the same as me right 😉
I did not know wildcard transfers dont support price changes. Sorry brothers i have presse the button prematurely
That’s okay mate :)
I don’t get it. How are you going to make transfers without hitting the transfer button. It’s going to take you a lot of points .. don’t get it.. I hit the button yesterday and my value grew with 0.7 or more..
Does free hit affect saved up free transfers?
nope
@@FPLFran Appreciate the response!
So by delaying activating the wildcard you are just pushing up/down prices for the rest of us?
I have never heard of people doing this. I presume though most don’t (I’d be afraid I’d forget to activate it and be stuck with a 32 point hit).
Yes
is it essential to wait until just before the deadline to press the wildcard button?
What makes you say that? If you want to use WC this GW then you can activate now and change your WC team up until the next deadline
@@youjustreadthis897 fran mentioned if you make your transfers as hits then you contribute to price rises and falls whereas while being on wildcard i have to assume then they don’t?
@@joekuhlmann1729 ah yes, forgot about that part of video
it's not essential. Do as you please, as always.
I have 2 FTs. If i use the WC this week, will i have 3 FTs next week?
You will have 2 ft next week
You’d have 2
Thanks
Palmer to Salah and JP to a cheap forward could be an option
but then you'd have to play Sem 8/9/10
I'd sell him after that if no issue ofc( defo there will be some issues😅)
Brighton fixtures are poor so why having Dunk and Pedro? For the forward position I think you have to start with Watkins on WC given that first few fixtures are good and then switch to Solanke or someone similar. To me it is better than Palmer.
Thinking long term and rotation. Pedro is good enough to play in poor games for me. Dunk covers Arsenal gw9 on D. Lewis to start most gws here
Twitter gang we here!
I have done a wildcard. Robertson or Gabriel is a dilemma. I have no arsenal.
I'd prob go Gabriel over him.
@FPLFran and the other player that's not a green pick is Robinson. Who could I go for there.
Bentley is kind of close to dropping, I sold him on my wc too.
yep, sold him for now for Fabianski
When will we start believing in jackson?
I've been believing since last season. I just think that Chelsea have too much rotation so I can probably get more value elsewhere. I also think that we might be overreacting a touch to the perf. vs WHU (they are indeed awful)
Why are a lot of managers sleeping on Deligt?
he's on the cheat sheet :D
I Already wildcard and I'm already regretting it.... oh well
How come you're regretting?
why's that?
Hi Fran, no Liverpool players ?
aye, just think it's a decent run of games to bet against
i feel my wc4 bringing in salah was a mistake now...
I don’t think so. Outcomes poor but he’s a captain choice again this gw
I can’t afford this team 0.6 away, where could I downgrade to afford it
Palmer out -> spread funds
@@FPLFran palmer out to who? Right now I have the exact same team but my defence is
Raya Bentley
Collwil, gvaurdiol, Gabriel, greaves , van de berg
Porro is nailed for me, if you look at him as a midfielder, he’s good value for money being 5.5. Guy has upside second only to Trent, Arsenal defence has more consistent 6 pointers of course.
Spurs will concede, Every. Single. Game
@@dirtyfunkymonkey Not with the amount of possession they have, Leicester had one good chance against them and nothing else
totally fair to have him 'nailed'. There are downsides though in fairness so I wouldn't venture to say he's essential
Wow I wish I knew a wildcard can wipe the point hits.
Always a good strategy aha
@@FPLFran *I wish I knew
I wcarded in gw4. A very similar squad to yours. Unlucky to have wissa benched with mci and injured. 2 transfers banked. Currently planning to keep jota, sell salah and wissa for saka and watkins and leave eze/semenyo out to mbeumo in for gw7
What are our thoughts on Gibbs white? Between him or Eze for me
Neither
I genuinely think he’s a dull pick. If I was to invest in NFO it’s purely for defence
How many pints you get in gw5
61
@@FPLFran nit realy good scor i get 63 and am not satisfied
thoughts on jackson?
very excellent option. Solanke there too (or Havertz)
Why is Timber overlooked ?
Depends on minutes imo. I think he can’t play 65-75 mins per game perpetually but if you have confidence he starts all then go for him
Thanks for always been invested in your community btw 👍🏻
