They apparently inspired Enslaved more than Bathory did which is certianly an intresting thing to note.

@@WocklessGamingforAnimeMoms Heavy Load are the O.G's of Swedish Heavy Metal, very early with Viking themed lyrics as well which you know Bathory later adopted as well:) Front man of Heavy Load Ragne Wahlquist is also known for being theproducer/engineer of Candlemass's classic albums Epicus Doomicus Metallicus and Nightfall which were recorded at his studio.

The way Ragne’s voice blends with the distorted guitar is heavenly / devilish
It's a pure fucking shame these guys are so overlooked.
That opening riff is just so powerful, makes me think of a valkyrie on a motorcycle flying down an open highway. Only Heavy Load can do something like that.

@@adameves5970 I'm a millennial and I agree. I like some bands that scream, but that's all that seems to get promoted now whereas groups like Enforcer, Christian Mistress, etc don't get as much attention as they deserve I think
there actually is. theres plenty that sound like this, that sound like metallica, that sound like iron maiden, etc. you just gotta look.
