    Great video,we have a t32 and had a Yamaha 2 stroke 4hp on, but very slow. Ordered a new Yamaha 15hp but was damaged during delivery.This put me off having another one delivered(could not pick up, as we have no car at the moment).The company are bringing me a new motor out themselves to replace the damaged one, but I have decided to go with the lighter 9.9hp and after watching your video,think this was a good choice 👍👍

    Greetings from Spain. A 9.9 engine falls short for 3 adults plus some cargo (refrigerator, water, safety elements depending on the navigation area such as flares, life jackets, etc.). Is a 15hp engine better for the t38 and to transport it by car? I have doubts about a 9.9 in navigation with a headwind, and a formed sea. And well, about the t38 I'm looking for something that can be easily assembled and also disassembled after navigation. pack and save! Thanks in advance!

      Hello, yes the 9.9 2 adults only it’s does everything i ask of it! I also have a 25h that I use mostly, the 9.9 is for camping trips 👍

    Hi, great video and advice. Me and my partner are looking at a setup similar to yours as we are newbies. Think im gonna go for the T38 . What would you recommend ? 9 or 15hp, yamaha or honda ? Also recommeded sellers ?.... We are in the North West of England..... Wheels , seats etc ? Any advice would be great. Many thanks.

    • @ryanferris7841

      Thanks! Its all depends on your lifting capabilities a nice 15 would be ideal however all outboards are different
      For example the tohatsu 15 is light however its bulky and awkward and not user friendly in my opinion , the Yamaha 9.9 is heavier however very compact and easy to get the arms round, Hondas are great but heavy and bulky, for the ultimate compact to power ratio I say yam 9.9 all day, I am not keen on other brands and the yam 15 is big and heavy!
      So if you keep the weight down in your t38 2 adults max the 9.9 will be perfect 👌

    Hello which one do you recommend the t40 or the t38. I seen on comments of a different video you said you thought the t40 was superior. Then i seen on same video 3 weeks ago that you like the t38 better and have the t40 up for sale? Also is it very hard to stand in the t38? Thanks

    • @ryanferris7841
      @ryanferris7841  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, thanks for your comment, the t40 is the more superior boat but only slightly!!
      Cons - weight and its sheer size noise from the floor and in my opinion requires a trailer hard to manage alone hard to get small stones and shells that gather under the floor!!
      Pros- floor space stability and a flat safe surface for standing on
      After using the t38 more i actually prefer it and I can stand up in it no problem it’s so easy to manage and overall a more versatile sib faster too and handles better it’s sporty feeling
      I have now sold my t40 so I now would recommend the t38

    Ciao io ho uno yamaha 9.9 vmax 2005 2 tempi, con un t 32, ottimo 1 persona 28 miglia, in 2 persone 22 miglia, in 3 persone 18 miglia, in 4 persone( totale peso 70kg x4+ 36 motore + 38 gommone =354 kg) facciamo 12 miglia si plana ma a fatica con mare piatto, ma in 4 stiamo molto stretti e per l'attrezzatura spazio quasi inesistente, vorrei quindi passare a un t 38 sempre da portare sul tetto auto gonfio, quale motore mi consiglieresti tohatsu 18 cv 2 tempi peso 41 kg quindi leggero da portare tohatsu 20 cv 4 tempi peso 43 kg oppure ? con il tohatsu 20 cv in 4 persone quale velocita' posso raggiungere con mare leggermente formato e attrezzattura, ho scartato il t 40 perche' mi pesa troppo e non gestibile su tetto auto. grazie della risposta

    Which is better for fishing t38 or t40? I’ve been leaning towards a t40 more and keeping it on a trailer but the t38 appeals because it’s lighter. But for fishing I always thought aluminium floor would be better.

    • @ryanferris7841
      @ryanferris7841  4 месяца назад +2

      I made a hardwood floor for my t38 so with the floor it’s a better option, the t40 is big and heavy to handle look at the t35 it’s not much smaller than the t38 but easier to manage than the t40

      @@ryanferris7841 Thanks, I was even looking at the t32 as it will be my first boat, I sort of disregarded the t35 as I thought it would still be heavy and if I was to choose the t35 I may as well go with the t40 if it’s still really heavy. Thanks for that. Great content btw 👍🏻

      @@estd1984 the problem with the t40 is it’s very wide and has massive tubes it’s a fair lump lol I had a few bad experiences in mine at the slipway trying to manoeuvre it on my own! I was lucky I didn’t break any bones that day 😅 so I sold it

      @@ryanferris7841 Yeah I think I’m really considering an air deck, I’d rather start off smaller/lighter and then eventually wanting more (bigger) than starting off big and heavy and regretting it and not wanting to take it out. 👍🏻
