Rejuvenate Banana Plantations For Top Yields Through Cover Crops

We tour a farm and see how cover crops are rejuvenating banana plantation lands. It was really exciting to see how much of an impact the soil health and the the enhanced biology are changing the plant yields and health for Chakanaka Farm in Chirundu Zambia.
Note that the double planting of bananas is only done for the first cycle and then every other plant is taken out.

We have a friend that harvested almost 140 tons per hectare with this type of planting a year ago.

Where is the farm located?. Any idea of which cover crops would have a good performance intercropping with the bananas?. Great video.

We are in Zambia. I was recommended perennial peanuts or perennial soybeans by Admire Calagari from Brazil when he was here in Zambia two years ago. I am interested In trying the peanuts. Let me know if you come up with a winner!
