I get the reason behind the bottle being the shortest swinging distance but that worked well with the boxes because the handle does not move. Love all my stanley but id be mad bout that for sure. Thanks for heads up
Thanks for the info. Never realised that would happen with having the flask on the top. I guess you would only find out once you use it yourself. Thinking of getting one of these but this has made me think twice. No other reviews of this item mention this downside.
Too bad actually. The size is good, the thermos is good but I cannot have my lunch in a disarray because this cooler will not stay upright. Thanks for posting - I will not be getting this. cooler.
I'm glad I saw this. I have the smallest lunch cooler where the thermos fits snug in between the handle and stays locked in place and doesn't turn on you like this video shows. But the cooler is way too small so I was going to buy this one. Not after seeing this. Seems like the design team failed at stanley.
I have this cooler in the smaller version. I have the same issues with the handle. I sent them a email . No response . Bad design . I bought it after carrying the original thermos lunch box combo for years. The gasket sold me on it . It does keep stuff cold longer than other coolers but the handle sucks .
D Jacobsen My wife bought the set at Aldi. It has no brand name....just says made in China. Unfortunately I don’t have the red topped one anymore. Sorry I couldn’t help more. Thanks for watching.
Thats a huge deal. My OCD would never allow me to carry a thing that is designed to be carried, yet flops on its side when doing so. Id have to frigging install counter weights. Hard pass for me
i threw mine right in the dam recycle bin and went out and bought the metal 10 quart... they gave me mine as a replacement for the aladin and i really liked that one one i was mad when they sent me this...plus i bought the regular 25 once thermos and that would not fit either ... cool video..
Tom of easy fixes. Wrap tape around handle where it catches latch. I get you want it to work right out of box but not hard to stop it from happening. Could use piece of rubber, pipe foam etc.
How about a small hole in the handle above the lid and a pin through it? Or a hole through the handle into the lid then you could put a small pin with a detent ball on the end.
There are three positions for drinks on top. You can see you set it up off to the side. If you center your thermos it’s a non issue. I have the same tipping factor when I have two drinks on top. But never with one. Use the center option directly under the handle.
Thanks for the info. I just checked it out and mine still tips... Problem is its top heavy. Maybe other viewers can try theirs. But bottom line from me, I wouldn't recommend buying this cooler. thanks again for watching and the input.
I don’t use the big thermos on top. I use 16 or 32 oz. I think the problem lies in going bigger. Then it won’t sit more centred. I see what’s happening & can imagine it.
yea me neither.... maybe go back and watch the video again and listen... especially around the 55-60 second time frame when i say for demonstration purposes.......
Thank you for taking the time post this video. That design defect 7s a deal breaker. I liked your video.
That would bum me out too, thx brother!

I was searching for this combo... I'll stop now after watching this. Thanks brotha.
Love the review. This is the shit that kills me. Idk why it's so hard to design a lunchbox. I think I'm gonna do just that.
Glad I watched this. Not getting this one. Igloo has that button system
Center your thermos dude! I've had mine for years and never had that issue...

look to the gun accessories industry for a QD attachment to bypass the handle and use a shoulder strap.
Thanks for the great review. I gave up on Stanley products years ago.

Wait what? SIG is Stanley?
That explains why my sig mug was absolutely indestructible.
I miss it :(
Damn that sucks, head on review.thx
not sure if the one can of can of chicken and one small ice pack. is more weight then the full thermos. i would have to feel it.

I have the 16qt one. It doesn't do that. It's big but it's not too big.

Sounds like a good idea. I'll see what I can do. Thanks
More weight in the main body keeps it level,
Hi, is it possible to remove the handle of the cooler (I plan to put it in a boat where the space is limited) ? Thanks for your reply.
i agree i hated this one the old one was better... the metal lung pail i replaced it with...
Very helpful buddy. Good points.
Thank you!
It's quite a big deal really. And thanks for this video and I definitely won't be getting this.
Glad it helped make your decision! Thanks for watching!

i know no one who makes their sandwiches at work
