Great episode with 2 producers I look up to. Still relatively new to this, but cool to hear about click through rates and expected growth etc.., makes me feel like I'm on the right path. I feel like Dilly - apart from talent and a great work ethic - has got great self-awareness, speaking on risk tolerance etc... and is humble and not led by ego. V. Inspiring!! Thanks Pain for setting this one up 👌🤙
Thanks Alot for the work you put in to give us this knowledge. I recently came across your channel and it has broadened my outlook on getting my beats out there.
so what if two artists blow up off the same leased beat, or they atleast get enough traction where they are both able to make money off the song, How will the leasing contract affect how the artists are getting paid if the song is registered on streaming services and Perf. Royalties?
Nashville was wrong to do all the way. Today the field is back to making a garage, or hone studio -band and you made it larger and it us more music that has heart ❤️ But, it could go sour if quality dropsS!
Wait so was $800k the gross or the net? He said no to your question then said the “number was my exact gross” ? Maybe just a mix up like he meant one or the other
it was the gross. he tried to ask him about net and the connection conveniently glitched out. gross income in the beat game shouldn't even be a point of reference, be transparent and share the net earnings as well as how much money was spent on ads. show people the reality
Thank you for confirming for me that I am an artist and not a businessman. If I had to spend this much time thinking about analytics and cornering the market instead of taking in artistic inspiration, learning music theory, and studying history, philosophy, etc I don't know that I could still channel the same creative energy. This whole industry is so gross to me I would rather cop an AI beat than support this automated industrialized musical output that reduces humans to machines. If cranking out beats based on market dynamics like a human assembly line is freeing people from wage slavery than good for you but... yikes... yuck
Damn 800k I’d quit my weak ass trucking job if I made that 😔 I swear it’s so hard in this competitive beat maker world . I think My beats either suck or I suck at promoting and being consistent. Idk but soon I’m gonna just quit and sell dope lol
With all that money, he better get a new pair of headphones, because, anyone with cheap/ broken headphones can learn to pick the rhythm that they want to use and learn to change the sound without leasing tracks of pre cleared sounds someone else had picked. Lol wow. Really? I’m concerned about his future.
to be honest, i have a thoughts that this is not entirely reliable information (almost a million). because I make similar moves, but don’t have any sales, for a year. beats are good.. one thing but I do not spam people in a dm. maybe I'm doing something wrong, but not a single one for a year of constant work is somehow immoral. I don't say anything, it's more like a cry from the heart lol and thanks Pain for all you’ve been doing 🫡
