Not checking the cause of compressor failure ? Acid test , oil return ? Cleaning or flushing condensers ? I never used existing gas when have burnouts. Don't think those two new compressors is going to last very long.
Thanks for the video! I’m in HVAC school and it’s hard to imagine that’ll I’ll be as sharp as you are but that’s my goal lol I’m in crossville, TN. Your content is very helpful!
Oh the life of a Samsung compressor replacement and then you have the awful discharge temp sensor failure. I also, saw the distain in your face when you found two bad compressors. FYI I learned you must check for oil in the old compressors and also weigh old compressors versus new compressors. Oh the Samsung Fun never ends. Great video!!
Old compressor needs to be weighed and referenced to new compressor and difference in weight = amount of oil to be added to system as per Samsung technical guide on replacing compressor. I would have checked inverter board with inverter checker + checked oil for acid level . Did you top up system from R410 cylinder after recharging system with recovered refrigerant ?
The resistance readings were in megahohms, see the uppercase "M" displayed on the screen. So if it says 24.1, that's 24,100,000 ohms. Those compressors were fine.
This was a good video nightmare job but good info one been changing capacitors and adding hard starts but the compressor wasn’t grounded yet but bad windings checked with ohmeter
Take a guess how many of my systems got flushed in 27 years. Zero. I’ve had one compressor fail again 5 yrs later. Suction drier if it can fit, liquid drier, new refrigerant if needed, acid neutralizer if needed, new contactor and capacitor if needed.
Did u have to go to training thru samsung on them units. Our trade is sure getting complicated lol. Feel bad for all the new guys coming into it. Im glad im at my peak 😂
Rocket 1 to earth. Could you check the output serial port 3. It is really warm in here. Command center to rocket 1. It appears we have lost both boostets and the computer control boards are toast. We are ordering those now. Stand by Rocket 1. Its air conditioning for goodness sakes.
Had that same issue thought it was the inverter boards, but it turned out to be the compressors, and also what tool do you have to have to hook up to the Samsung units?
Repair is different than installation. These units looks like you can get to the boards easily versus the residential units which are absolute nightmare. On the other hand I think you have worked on these units several times to include several major repairs now you have two compressors down I'm pretty sure the owner is like WTF is going on this thing isn't worth a shit. Nothing beats conventional. On the other hand nothing beats the flexibility of mini split that's if it lasts
I have a unit that’s 41 years old and it’s still running. Should I buy a new one cause every one in my family is saying all the new stuff is garbage, is that true?
Or consider the fact that 40 years of innovation means waaayyy better efficiency and better refrigerants, you could be pleasantly surprised at the power savings
Been doing hvac going on almost 30yrs. ABSOLUTELY the new stuff is garbage. And it's going to get worse now that the government is sticking their nose in the hvac trades.
@@JesseDoesHVAC For domestic , what would the run time on an inverter system be to recover the cost of replacing an inverter PCB ? And if a inverter system is running full load most of the time, its not much more efficient than a non inverter system.
Samsung? More like Sam-suck! But good for us in the feild, just like our “wonderful” daikin units we get here in Australia 🇦🇺- garbage units of late but great for business Also why does the new compressor look like it came off the back of a truck 😅

Hi bro I'm from Bangladesh working HVAC VRF System Troubleshooting and maintenance nice your video

I am from INDIA, just curious to know how these systems work. Good work. Kudos

Really nice video! You're a great technician and teacher. Retired industrial electrician here, Tampa Florida area.
Thank you, brother. I'm glad you enjoyed the video
I'll be in Sarasota, Florida next month. I am ready
Sir you should show on video how to charge refrigerant and manifold connection not show clear

You saw that
I was pretty upset
Glad to get it fixed though

Wonderful vidio and very usefull. One question please, Is it any setting to do before to recover of refrigerent??
thanks for watching and to your question I am not sure
Nicely done and beautifully explained. 👌🏼
Thanks a lot 😊
when replacing an inverter compressor , its a wise idea to replace the inverter board.
VRF Baby!!!!!! Let's go!!!!!!
I just replaced two compressors on my first vrf's. LG
Great video, vrf rocks
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Taddy good work but i didn't see you doing a flushing process for the system because it's very important before installing new compressor.
Take a guess how many of my systems got flushed in 27 years. Zero. I’ve had one compressor fail again 5 yrs later. Suction drier if it can fit, liquid drier, new refrigerant if needed, acid neutralizer if needed, new contactor and capacitor if needed.
Great job, i learn a lot
nice
Do you always replace the inverter boards when the compressor is grounded.

I did do a 2 day training to learn 💪 before ever installing a dvm unit
Thanks sir 🎉very helpful ❤
Awesome video your so smart
Wow, I have soooo much to learn
good show
Thanks!
Very good video thank you for sharing I request for next video to clean evaporator and condenser @@TaddyDigest
Hi Taddy. If the issue was caused by the compressors bieng shorted to ground why did you replace the inverted boards too?. Thank you.
I replaced the inverter board to make sure that I don't have any callbacks.
Sooo much funner when you understand what you’re doing 😂
Yes sir I agree brother
Hello good work
But i have a question what is the S NET I'm from London uk thanks
The s net converter box is a tool that is utilized to convert the transmission signal into a readable signal by the s. Net software
thank you
You're welcome.Thank you so much for watching
@ present I have a case, U201,E464 and i changed inv pcb of sub1 for inv pcb of Main after that display U200,E364, so is inv pcb of sub1 fault?
I'm just curious both compressors were grounded, but you didn't replace the refrigerant or install any driers. Is that OK

Hi, Teddy. Do you think 14Volt DC when compressor started to was abnormal? You measured 14vDC on inverter board
yes
❤❤❤❤great
thanks
We need video know how PCB is not work properly
@giveaway - Thanks Taddy!
why do u have to use thermal paste?
I use it so that the board does not overheat
I from Thailand I want snet pro2
You sell?
I do not sell
go to waveshare and order similar box
Most of these vrv vrf break down frequently, and working on them is not easy
Why you change the card if issue is compressor
I ordered the inverter boards first. The compressors did not check short to ground. So I already had the boards
Might as well replace them

Run it until it breaks. Buy the simplest unit you can from the best contractor.

Pure junk! I had an American standard compressor fail after two months last summer. Puts a dent in your profits, doesn’t it.
Warranty supposed cover for that?
