After the marriage broke down, Rakhi's real struggle began and in 1970 she entered Hindi cinema. Her first film 'Jeevan Mrityu' was released, in which she appeared with Dharmendra. She got success from the first film and many more films later but in this film she also got slapped by the director. Actually, director Satyan Bose slapped her. Rakhi was not speaking her dialogues properly and was also showing tantrums, however after this she became serious about her work. After this Gulzar came into her life. He liked Rakhi very much because she was multi-talented. In the year 1973, he married Rakhi and from this marriage he had a daughter whose name is Meghna Gulzar but one day the news came that this relationship also did not move forward. Both of them decided to separate from each other and everyone knew why this happened. Actually, Rakhi had broken a promise given by her, as a result of which her relationship with Gulzar became sour. Actually Gulzar had put a condition that she will not work in films after marriage. The actress had also accepted this condition but when Gulzar was working in many films, Rakhi thought that maybe he will forget his stubbornness and condition and give her a small role but this did not happen but staying alone at home, Rakhi made up her mind to come to films. Coming to films cost her a lot, after this there were many fights between the two and there was a rift in the relationship. Both of them parted ways but both did not get divorced. But it is also said that the reason for the fight between Rakhi and Gulzar were the stars of the film 'Aandhi'. Actually, one night Gulzar was partying with the stars of the film 'Aandhi' Sanjeev Kumar and Suchitra. During this time Sanjeev Kumar drank a lot of alcohol and he started getting close to Suchitra. In such a situation, Suchitra was very angry. Keeping safety in mind, Gulzar decided to leave Suchitra in her room and come back. He kept talking to her for a long time so that Suchitra's anger could calm down, but when he was coming out of the actress' room, Rakhi was standing there, who got angry seeing her husband coming out of Suchitra's room so late in the night. That night there was a big fight between the two. After this, Rakhi signed the film 'Kabhi Kabhi', due to which Gulzar became more angry. After separating from Gulzar, she bought a bungalow for herself in Sarojini Road, Khar, which she named Muktangan. After living here for years, Rakhi sold it to a real estate company on a condition that the high rise building that will be built on it will also be named Muktangan and this is what happened, today Bipasha Basu also lives in the same building. These days Rakhi is living alone in her farmhouse away from Mumbai. Rakhi's farmhouse is in Panvel, where she lives amidst nature. According to the report, Rakhi now does farming and she grows many types of vegetables on her farm house and has kept many pets. When Rakhi was asked about staying away from Mumbai, it was revealed that she was very nervous due to the noise in Mumbai city, due to which she decided to stay away from Mumbai. Let us tell you, Rakhi was last seen in the film 'Classmate' released in the year 2009. After this, she has not appeared on screen till now. In this way, Rakhi could never get the happiness of a life partner in her personal life, but today she is very happy wherever she is, but Rakhi's current look surprises people a lot.

It is unfortunate this married life of Rakhi and Gulzar saheb could last only for 2 years. None is repentant. Physical use of men and sometimes by woman partner is common. After separation both gave exemplary talent. There is no harm both express their fault and forget eachother faults. Their daughter can initiate to unite them and pray for rest of united life.
