Incorporating the live concert video of "TAKOHACHI & Kotori Kai Shamisen School Recital" that took place on Aug 27, 2023 in Portland, Oregon, this is an exclusive tutorial on how to play "Sora no Tori" on Shinobue.
Takohachi, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes Japanese culture through music, presents this tutorial in collaboration with Kotori Kai - Oregon's first Shamisen School powered by Takohachi. The piece was composed and choreographed by Yumi Torimaru, also known as Oyama Kotori, Founder and Director of Takohachi and Kotori Kai. Although designed mainly for Takohachi members and Kotori Japanese Music students, this tutorial is open to everyone.
