This is the Ultimate Audi. The #RS6AvantGT! The most Extreme RS6 ever built! And it’s also one of the most exclusive, with just 660 units worldwide, clearly identified with the unique body, and the heritage decals!
Today - I’ll fill you in on the origins behind the project, how it differs on a technical basis to the normal RS6 and performance, the three different specs you can get and check every detail inside and out!
This isn’t an RS6 built on just a robot projection line: The Final assembly is done by a team of 7 experienced employees at three assembly stations set up especially for this exclusive special edition. Each car takes a day to do, and all GT-specific features are fitted by hand! Even the adjustable coilover suspension!
The Idea of this beast started with a Project in 2020, where Audi apprentices were given free rein over an RS6 to create their interpretation of a more extreme version. The result was the Project RS 6 GTO concept! How cool is that that so inspiration for the new Avant GT comes from that very design study?!
That team took inspiration from the legendary Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO race car from 1989, so fitting that this final car used homage livery of same.
The front matches the GTO Concept with a fully redesigned carbon hood, and we have a whole new lower front end which is much more aggressive with a large lower lip spoiler. RS4 style Integrated air outlets behind the large 22-inch wheels reduce air pressure in the wheel arch and improve brake cooling - and look amazing, these wings are now made of carbon too.
Unique 22 inch wheels are based on the Audi Avus concept. Better than those is the HUGE pass through spoiler - taken almost 1:1 from the apprentices’ concept car
Car comes in 3 styles. The first with Arkona White finish - the traditional colors of Audi Sport, black, gray, and red. Wheels in high-gloss white.
The model badges at the front and rear also come in these colors.
Or if you get Mythos black or Nardo grey, you get black wheels or black and polished wheels and black and grey decals!
The Performance updates are initially very similar to the RS6 Performance with 850NM. But this builds upon it with 0-60 in 3.3 - the diff on the rear axle has been specially tuned in dynamic mode to be more agile, and more neutral handling and giving a better launch.
We also have better handling with heightened steering, dynamics and less understeer - as now for the first time and only for the GT we have adjustable coilover suspension!
This Lowers the height by 10mm, gives us A higher spring rate, triple-adjustable dampers and Stiffer stabilizers; 30 percent stiffer at the front and 80 percent at the rear.
The interior has the New RS Bucket seats from the RS4 Competition, and the black interior is enhanced by numerous accents in the exclusive color combination of red and copper.

But that’s doesn’t go for all of us in the car community I’ve driven both variants and compared to the competition audi should’ve been able to topple them but they chose to hold back which is very disappointing for a model which is supposed to be the last combustion hurrah

Agreed. I am constantly disappointed. I can't figure out why a company would purposely lag behind their competition. It's as though Audi deliberately let's BMW build more dynamic cars. I was hoping the RS6 GT would show the M5CS and thing or 2. Now I have to hold my head down and wave a white flag.😂
@@Average_Bruh I felt the same. But Audi is sharing the same EA825 engine with Lamborghini and Porsche. Even if it can make 660 hp or more, unfortunately VW group would not allow an Audi to be as powerful as those higher end brands..
@allenyao552 yeah. But it wouldn't be. The Panamara Turbo S ehybrid makes over 700hp, and the Urus Perf makes 666. The RS6 GT could have gotten the 660hp. The TTRS was always more powerful than the Cayman GTS until the GT4 RS came out. Even 640 or 650 would be a much appreciated and celebrated increase.
@@Average_Bruh e-hybrid has electric motor. In pure ICE form the most powerful one is Cayenne Turbo GT with 650 hp. 640 would make sense but Audi couldn't be bothered to remap the ECU for 10 more hp lol. TTRS and Cayman don't share the same engine, but the EA825 was shared by Audi, Porsche, Lanbo and Bentley.

One RS6 was spied in Germany with what appeared to be a hybrid sticker a while back so don't be afraid the V8 is gonna be sticking around for a little while longer 😏
to me the RS 6 has always been the RS car to have. I love how Audi (and Porsche) pay homage to their racing history. It’s a highly respectful way to show those of a younger generation the racing pedigree and achievements of Audi Motorsport. For those out there who are critical of this car (in any way), you are totally missing the point. This is NOT an Audi for you.

They've knocked this out the park in the heritage spec especially as you couldn't spec the rs6 in white originally I'm only half way through the video and I'm praying they have done a really individual interior to compliment it but I expect they haven't. I mean red leather dashboard would have looked great in this

Tbh when the RS6 first came out it was underwhelming with less power than the older E63 and M5 at the time. Audi stepped up the game with the performance version big time, but this takes it to yet another level. What a car !

I still don’t understand why wagons aren’t popular in the US. Considering the 1950s through the 1980s almost everybody had one. The wagon is the best of both worlds. Obnoxious SUV style storage in a quick load of the ground package. Your Escalade and your Mustang all in one package ha ha
Last time I was in Germany I was having such a great time checking out all the amazing wagons and fastbacks and those cool little hatchback wagons from all the brands we can’t get in America. So many sexy cars.

Cayenne Turbo GT is at 650 hp and Urus Performante is at 666 hp. Same engine but VW cannot let an Audi be as powerful as a Porsche or Lambo, so..

there are modded RS6's running around here in the USA that are still reliable, street raced all the time, used as family vehicles also, beaten to death, run very hard, but are doing well and have full stroked and bored kits to 4.8 liters, much bigger turbo's, straight piped, methane injection, ice box, race gas tune running 110 octane gas, fully built engine and internals, hugely upgraded cooling and strengthened transmissions with lighter wheels and body panels etc...running 1500 hp...you'd have to drop at least 60k into the performance mods to get there though(not including more for wheels and aesthetic upgrades etc) but you can get a used 2021 RS6 for half price now almost, then drop 80k in full mods and serious aesthetic mods, and then you'd have a car that will even beat a 1000 hp Ferrari SF90 but you can fill the car with tons of groceries and 4 or 5 other beautiful sexy women to ride with you lol...same goes for the M8 competition grand coupe and X5m ...some around here with 1500 hp also...great all rounders and daily driver useability and street race predator capabilities too obviously...

They should've thrown alot of carbon fibre to reduce more weight, removed the soft particle limiter...then the price would be reasonable

Same power as the standard performance model nothing special, the base model RS6 GT starts at £177k for a few fancy spoiler parts.
That thing is HUGE, like a lowrider Ford Expedition.
If they just added the old racing style wheels to this new beast it would be a 10/10 car, but let's be honest, someone who buys this car will have a pair of those fitted to this thing in no time.
But I wonder if the people who buy it will keep it stock? That’s the whole point. My avant is completely different from stock as is most Avants
