This band, this song, it all hits so very close to home for me. There is not one better Bluegrass band on the planet. Of all the songs they have written this one hits on all the things in my life that keep me grounded to family and faith. So grateful for the years they have given to their passion for the music and their faith. Will forever be a fan! Thank you for all the motivation and inspiration! Matthew Schultz
I haven't had the close relationship with God that I have always wanted. Then came the divorce this year. At one time I was at the lowest point in my life that I thought I had ever been. I literally had the rope around my neck. Then I got a text. I don't know why I read it but I'm glad that I did. It simply said "I'm worried about you. I'm praying for you". That moment changed me for the better and I hope (and pray) that it also changed me forever. I am putting concerted effort into becoming closer to God and putting my life in His hands. I heard this song only recently, but it has become a daily reminder of the role and work that I have to put in everyday. Grit polishes so something may shine! I am realizing God's Grace is always there. Even when I don't think it is. This song has genuinely helped me! Thank you Balsam Range! And God Bless Y'all!
It seems that God brought me this song for His love.. I lost my daughter in May and was feeling lost. He reminded me of all the things I've been through and He is a Merciful God. Thank You for this.
Be as strong as you can, dear sister. Some us out here know your pain. Somehow, there is purpose in this. We might not ever come to fully understand just why, in this life. But, by an' by, we will. Meanwhile, we both have our very own Angel's on the other side... waiting and preparing for our return Home. For whatever reason, Father chose us to be in this very special fraternity. I'm pretty convinced it's mostly for our growth and progression. But maybe for those around us too. The rest, I just put in a box on a shelf in my mind, and figure I'll get my answers somewhere along the way eventually. I'm grateful my girl passed in my arms. I know she knows that too. I've found, just like this great song says, we carry our burdens as far as we can, and God picks up the slack. I cried every day for two years. But I feel the love more now. From her. From Father in Heaven. I just wanted you to know, others out here understand too. God bless! Allan
As soon as I heard the first strains, I burst into tears! This is my home, my people and my friends! God bless you gentlemen for reminding me every day of my home and why I love it!
Beautiful song .and my Grandma heart is overflowing with thankfulness for God's Grace for Major Hooper💙 he is a survivor because of his Grit and God's Grace .
Really good song first heard on blue grass radio. Fills your soul with pure joy and love. The video is amazing. Teaching is about ourselves as individuals and the connections we all have. Thanks 🙏👍😊

Hey Guys. I am using my deceased wife s phone. This song was truly awesome!!! I am already missing " The Art of Music Festival" at the Lake. Mark thanks for the prayers. It s been quite a long year without her. Love you guys!!!@
Exactly what got me through the bad times. I didn't know then, but I do now!! Thank you guys so much, you never disappoint!! Your music is a blessing in my life!! 🙏✌️👊🤜🤛👍💪❤️❤️❤️
My song. Buddy I'd be honored if you send this song to this old gal who has followed you all everywhere I checked on you daily at mission your beautiful wife sweet mama right there.
I'm not a Christian. Raised catholic, I've strayed when I was 13 because I was an edgy teenage asshole bombaded with anti-christian propaganda. Your average teenager these days, really, but 17 years ago it was edgy. Being naturally curious and skeptic, I've "rediscovered" christianity thanks to many things, some of them being close to fervorous, highly cultured and knowledgeable christian people (one of them even became a priest!). But what made me pop the bubble of prejudice was the good a prayer group does my parents (it's their own thing mixing Umbanda, kardecism and christianity, but they're truly good people). So, I've started studying the christian philosophy that built this civilization. And the impression I get is that you guys (christians) create beauty as an offering to God.
I urge u to visit Balsam Ranges Facebook page and watch Buddy Melton interview his Mother for the backstory to this wonderful song. It makes it even more meaningful. 👏👏👏👏👏
I have no idea how a guy that looks like that has a voice like that. I dunno even how to describe that voice. I mean, I like his voice. It's just...I have no way to define it. Tenor kind of?
This is a beautiful song - I heard it on the radio then searched to find it online and watched this video. I was sad and disappointed to see only white people. Surely the message applies as much, if not moreso, to the people in the US and beyond who are Black, indigenous, Latinx, Asian, etc.
This song means much to me. God my Father gives me the grace for the storms I go through.
