I’ve been watching all of your vlogmas videos and it is making me question everything I buy. I will add things to my cart online at TJX (TKMaxx in the UK) or Amazon or Lovecrafts (yarn) and go back the next day and realize I don’t need what I added most of the time. This is great. Love the videos and the babbling baby in the background. ❤. Thank you for making all of these videos!

Arne and Carlos did a series making Norwegian Christmas cookies. My favourites of theirs is Brunepinner (brown sticks)

My favourite Christmas cookie is always shortbread - the easiet recipe is a ratio of 1/2 : 1 : 2 That is: 1/2c sugar, 1c butter, 2 cups flour. A pinch of salt and smidge of vanilla - mix well, shape into log, wrap in parchment, put in fridge or freezer. Slice into 1/2 inch slices -bake at 350F 8-10min. I keep a log in the freezer, and just slice off 4 or 6 cookies at a time for myself. So much butter - they just melt in your mouth

      Do you cream
Butter & sugar together and then add butter?

@@GraceTheBabbler oh yes exactly - cream butter and sugar (some people use icing sugar but both work) really well - like 5 min until pale and fluffy - include salt & vanilla, then add in flour. If you make a roll & put in the fridge or freezer you can cut super thin for a very delicate cookie.
