I was continuously mocked as a boy by my classmates. I was the shortest and the skinniest kid in my class, even compared to the girls. I was also torn down daily at home by a parent. It psychologically damaged me, and isolated myself socially for years because I hated being in groups of people due to the damage.

Here is how to get kids back in shape. First, playgrounds have to make a come back. Second, snacks are part of being a kid, but why not have the kids not eat rich foods for a couple of days after having snacks? Third, it's time to start walking to school, walking to see friends, walking to do shopping, hiking at the weekends when possible. What being overweight scares me the most is that one's heart is working overtime to irrigate 2 kilometers of capillaries for every pound of fat. We cannot use scare tactics; we cannot take away the junk food, but we can try to have days of eating normally, days of walking home from school, or sports or the movies and realizing that our bodies are the temples of our souls.

Another big factor in decreased testosterone is the opioid epidemic. Opioids make testosterone levels plummet in men and highly decrease sex drive. Trust me. I was addicted to opioids and got fat, then got on methadone and my testosterone levels were near zero (normal was 200-400, I was at 24). I went from 200 lbs to 270 lbs in 8 months after getting on methadone, had no energy, and basically grew tits.
It's a huge factor that not many people talk about or know about. And there's a lot of young men addicted to opioids in America right now. It's affecting people more than just killing them. I know many people who have been addicted and almost none of them have kids. I'm 42 and don't have kids. My insurance wouldn't pay for trt either.

Yes, some people will fail and choose the easy way out (suicide), but guess what, those guys were bullied by those who professed, or didn't know how to "love" them. They want to live in a society where everything should be accepted. If someone’s fat and you say they’re fat that’s not bullying. That’s a fact. The problem is people can’t handle when someone tells them the truth. They get offended and turn it around on you and say you’re bullying, when you actually care about the person and want them to be healthy. We don’t need to bring bullying back, we need to bring honesty back and not give a damn about offending people, especially if your honesty will benefit the person.

Something Similar happened to us as well and we said the same thing-not condoning violence but defense… we knew if our child hit them one good time it would show their strength and hopefully scare them enough to stop. The school suspended my child (after the other kid went out of their way to bully my child in the first place with video showing so) and said it’s just to keep them apart to give them time to calm down- this went against my child for graduation privileges. Their school does small things on the side if they do well and do not get suspended. I told them to do their job and I’m tired of the victim being treated like the bully and the bully getting treated like the victim. We also came from a school where the principal told this same child being bullied that they can’t defend themselves and to just take the hits because they don’t agree with self defense. (I wouldn’t do this I was just trying to make a point) I told the principal so if I walked up to u and punched you in the face over and over you mean to tell me you wouldn’t defend yourself? They just stayed quite. That’s when I pulled my child from that school to go into a way better school…. However these past several yrs they have definitely turned the tide… smh

As a millennial man, I resonate with the points being made. I have personally witnessed these changes over time. During my childhood, outdoor activities and sports were the norm, and while bullying did occur, it toughened us and taught us how to handle jokes and banter. We had a sense of humor and understood boundaries. The rise of video games in the 2000s coincided with a decline in testosterone levels among boys. The impact of the food we consume and a larger agenda to weaken men and empower women is evident. These changes were not accidental but orchestrated intentionally. The current generation has seen a significant increase in the LGBTQ+ community, and it seems that families are being intentionally separated, with men being pushed out and women encouraged to work. However, we must remember that these tactics are part of a larger strategy for complete control. They aim to divide us, as a united society is harder to control. Everything is designed to fuel hatred and keep us divided. It is crucial for us as individuals to resist and go against their intentions. I find solace in my faith in God, knowing that ultimately, this evil spirit engulfing our country and the world will not prevail.

Growing up as a millennial, you were not allowed to be soft. I don’t know how high school was for you guys, but you had to be tough in one way or another. Our entire culture was either skateboarding or hip-hop for the most part. And then you had sub groups of people that were into hard-core music, and were part of that vibe. When I grew up, no girl wanted a soft man. They wanted someone who could beat someone’s ass. And millennials fight over the smallest things. Fist fight I mean. We would meet after school in the place, called the pit, and we would literally have fist fights. Now I try to stay away from stupidity, but the atmosphere was what it was and it was very tough. Generation Z and I guess the late millennials, have literally been feminized in a lot of ways because they look at you like you’re an animal when they hear this stuff.

I'm closing in on 64. I was raised by an entrepreneur; builder developer. His dad died when he was 8. It must have been tough. He became boxer. His coach would take him to the prison to fight prisoners. He got the shit beat out of him. My cousin who is much older than was a preteen at this time. My grandmother would send her down to the store to get leeches to put on his face and suck out the blood. This was on a teenager's face. He graduated from trade school at at 17 and joined the Army the next day. That was 1947. At my grandmother's funeral my aunt said, " he went in a boy and came out a man". He was only 19 at that point. How many 19 year old could handle that today. I don't think this story different than a lot of stories back in that era.
My dad died when I was 16, but he made sure I was as tough as he was by that age. It has served me well. I've been working since I was 8 years old. My first job was a cleaner at one of my dad's buildings. I had bathrooms and garbage cans. Back in 1968 there were no plactic bags. People dumped their coffee, trash cigarettes and whatever, and I had to clean it out. Had to be pristine, just like the toilets, otherwise it had to be done over.
No kid knows discipline like this nowadays. I was digging ditches at 9. Carrying block for block layers at 12. Someone would call the police now if someone were having their kid do that. I could write a book! All of it made me who I am. I feel bad for those kids who are not given any chores to do. It makes all the difference in who they'll become.

    • @rednarok
      @rednarok Год назад +7

discipline is taught when both parents have a good relationship with one another and you have untill the age of 4 to teach him,
after 4 years of age, if you say yes and your wife said no, the child will physically develop a different brain function of the type; being able to get away with it without repercussions.
when these kids grow up, this brain function doesn't go away. on the contrary, it completely replaces a normally functioning brain. we interpret it as undisciplined, a choice to not do so. its not a choice, intention is choice, action has alot more strings attached then believing you are accountable.
ill tell you different, an undisciplined person who acts disciplined is more disciplined then someone who was his whole life.

I've trained dozens of people. No one gets better just because they get called fat and stupid. They get better through proper instruction and repetition. Bullying is just a sign of low self esteem and weak moral character. That's why bullies always bully those that they perceive as weaker than themselves and kiss the asses of those they perceive as stronger. If they were really so tough, they would bully those who are stronger. That doesn't happen.

In the short-term, you benefitted from negative behavior; however, what about the long-term effects to society in general?
Being in the best shape, than anyone in your high school is admirable; yet, a very low, and possibly arrogant standard. The real standard is being the best you can be morally, intellectually, and physically. For example, why did you need to be bullied, in order to lose weight? You succumbed to peer pressure. Her grandmother hired me as wellness coach and nutritionist. The mother was very petite and fed the daughter candy and junk food to "shut her up", in her words. I informed her that at this rate her daughter will not live to be the age that she is. I'm sorry but children should not be obese the interesting part is that most obese children have obese parents but this child's mother was very petite.

This is why I enjoy BJJ. Not only is it an ego killer when you dominate other "big mouth" dudes or gym rats, but it keeps your own ego in check too. There are no excuses, there aren't a million rules that cause variables that make excuses. You have barely any rules, can do pretty much anything except for strike and go for eyes/balls or small joints. You can watch a 5' female escape the mount of a 6' 240lb dude. You just can't make excuses. It also shows that you don't have to have a lot of muscle or hit weights to be a man, you see them too, but you see a lot of tough mofos that are short or skinny too. But at higher levels, no one complains, ego is 90% in check, and people want to keep getting better. It also teaches kids and adults the more realistic version of "body positivity". You can't change certain innate aspects like your height, bone structure. Some people gain muscle quickly but also fat, and others have a hard time gaining muscle or fat. But everyone can be healthy, not obese, and make whatever body they have better. You also fight differently and have different strategies. It teaches people to be proud of their body and use it in the most strategic way possible, but also that your body is your temple and you can't let it get f***ed up by not putting the work in, not eating right, and not taking care of your mental health.

I vehemently oppose any form of bullying. When did the Samurai, Knights, and Native American warriors encourage bullying?
Youth participation in sports can be a positive and/or negative experience. When sports parents live vicariously through their children, and do not emphasize sportsmanship, character, values, and ethics, sports participation will be a negative experience.
All great warrior societies emphasized purpose, virtues, character, values, and ethics, before instruction in combat.
The greatest and most successful coach of the twentieth century John Wooden didn't focus on winning. John Wooden believed in order to have championship teams, he needed to develop purpose, virtues, character, values, and ethics in the individual player.
Instead of re-creating bullying, why do not adult men instruct and demonstrate purpose, virtues, character, values, ethics, goal-setting, time management, communication, physical training, nutrition, etiquette, personal finance, civics, and proper sleep protocols? Fathers and adult males of the past generations and present knew and know more about sports, than civics, The Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, et cetera.
When did becoming an "alpha male", become more important than a gentleman?

Bullying breaks more people than it builds. My cousin was bullied severely, he´s nearly 40, never worked a day in his life. Severe social anxiety and antisocial tendencies. Never even touched a woman. Most mass killers have been victims of bullying. Google "long term effects of bullying" and see for yourself all the damage it causes from depression to anxiety to low self-esteem to self-image issues etc. Most people who have been bullied deal with self-esteem issues for the rest of their life and withdraw further and further to avoid other people. I´ve been bullied myself and it´s a massive struggle to feel worthy and powerful in this world and function normally like others. What actually builds people up is having a support system and validation from others. No one who is shunned, rejected and belittled grows into the strongest version of themselves. Also Myron is one of those people always talking how hard men have it and how easy women have it and blabla and then his solution is more bullying 🤦‍♀ No one who dealt with actual, real bullying would say anything other than it needs to end. I´m all for having an empowered mindset and learning from your difficulties but bullying simply just harms the psyche and a lot of people aren´t able to convert that into growth.
The reason for that is the following: You grow from controlled stressors, all stressors outside of your control overwhelm you and venture into the realm of trauma. If you´re a depressed because your parents divorced and you are ugly by the standards of your peers and you get bullied for all these things you have no control over you feel disempowered and weak and that further spirals into you a negative circle and you will sustain a negative self-image that affects how you live your life for years unless you are exceptionally strong and can bounce back. Myron is a snake that only looks at other people who he can use them or manipulate them and he is toxic and all his advice is garbage. Probably was a bully himself but being a bully doesn´t make you a tough guy, picking on one weak child with all your friends doesn´t make you tough and better. I wish you would've kicked him off the show after saying this Pat to take a stand for what´s right but you don´t seem to be any better.

Couldn't have anything to do with all the poisons in everything and the lack of nutrition in GM foods, this also explains partly the lack of intelligence

Definitely learning a lot from this.
I've found that young boys around 10 years old back in the 1920s were expected to operate as men. They were viewed as "miniature-adults" and didn't have a super prolonged process of "adolescence" or "teenager phase".
The term "teenager" was first widely used in the 1940's via Popular Science Mag according to my research.
Before that time, you went from a boy to a man. Very little room to opt out of that rite of passage.

Now people in their 20s are called kids. Nobody has to grow up anymore.

It's really a shame you didn't mention all the phytoestrogens in our foods and water, they are lowering testosterone and raising estrogen in both sexes more than anything. Filter your water and clean up your diets the best you can or you will only get worse

It would be a “shame” if you kept this info to yourself and just expect people to understand what you have studied alone.- most people have no clue wha your talking about. What is a phytoestrogen and how and why are they in the food?

Sad that you have this misogynist and racist on your podcast. His views are not OK, he literally brought on a guest who proudly stated he did sexual assaults on women, and Myron laughed and let him continue as if what he was saying was OK. These guys do not have your morals, Patrick, and your tarnishing your reputation by being around them.
