    IT"S YOU!!! I was looking on Etsy to see ideas/pricing for ice screen tumblers and your tumbler is there. I would have loved to buy them from you but I need 22 so this will make them extra special. Thanks so much for showing how to do these, I will surely send you pictures when I figure them out.

    I love how you design all these gorgeous tumblers and you are drinking out of a plastic cowboys cup with no lid and a plastic straw! 🤣🤣 I only laugh because I do the same thing and I have a cup very similar to that one! Lol

    I saw in the video where you added the magnet to the top of the cup but not where you added it to the ice cream scoops. I watched twice but didn't see it - Did I miss something? I was just wondering what your method of marking where you wanted the magnet on the scoops to go in order to line up with the magnet on the cup top. This is FANTASTIC by the way!

    • @damfancycreations
      @damfancycreations  3 года назад +8

      I forgot to add that part! When the magnet on the lid is dry- add a magnet on top, put a dab of glue on top of the TOP magnet and line up your scoop straw hold with the lid straw hole and place the scoop on top of the lid. The glue will adhere to the scoop and once dry (I wait 24 hrs) when you remove the scoop one magnet sticks to it, the other sticks to the lid. I hope that makes sense!!

    A few questions....
    How do you keep the scoops from sticking to the foil?
    How long do you let them dry for?
    Do you spray or epoxy them while still on the foil?
    How do you clean the bowls after you’re done with the spackle?

    • @damfancycreations
      @damfancycreations  3 года назад +3

      The spackle can take a few days to dry but it does not stick to the foil. You can easily peel them up. You will be able to feel the weight difference once they are dry- they will be extremely light.
      I epoxy them on mixing cups. I will usually set them on the cup and epoxy the top, once that it cured I will flip them over and epoxy the bottom.
      After I am done I will wipe as much of the spackle out of the bowel/ice cream scoop as I can with a paper towel (so there isn’t really any washing down my sink) and then wash them with soap and water.

    Fantastic video! You made it look so easy, I wasn't afraid to try it. I put my scoops directly on the tumbler top. Once they dried I was so happy that they didn't really shrink at all. However, when I turned the top over, you could see mold under the scoops. Any idea why that would happen?

    • @damfancycreations
      @damfancycreations  3 года назад +1

      This is why I make mine detachable. If you can not remove the scoops then you can not properly clean the scoops or the lid. Water can get trapped and cause mold to grow.

    Question. For the hole made for the straw. Would gorilla glue epoxy work? To seal the hole? Since it comes with a tip and plunger?

  • @sworley1956
    @sworley1956 3 года назад

    love the video. I see those extreme colors are rather expensive! Since acrylic paint is not recommended what about the inks? or food color? Also when you epoxy your ice cream did you kind of just paint it brush it all over?

    • @damfancycreations
      @damfancycreations  3 года назад +1

      Thanks! I will use extreme colors or dispersion colors bc it just takes a small amount to get your desired color. Inks may work, I haven’t tried them but since they are transparent it may take a whole bottle to get your color so you end up spending more money and using more product. The extreme/ DC are more money up front but they will last quite a while.

  • @bruderd1962
    @bruderd1962 3 года назад

    How long do you let the spackling set up before putting on the epoxy? I used your method of mixing spackling in with the flour on an acrylic mouse ears tumbler. It turned out great! Mint chocolate chip! Made the chocolate chunks out of baked polymer clay. Cut out Oreo rounds for the ears. 1.625” circles. So could see the mint filling sides.

    What if I wanted to put glitter on top of the scoops do I sprinkle it on the scoops then epoxy or on the epoxy over the scoops?

    • @damfancycreations
      @damfancycreations  3 года назад +1

      When I glitter I typically do ‘syrup’ like mix glitter into epoxy and then drizzle it on top.
      If you just want sprinkles of glitter I would sprinkle on and then epoxy over everything.
