The place where you have settled looks magnificent. It's nice to see you happy and smiling. Wishing you a good harvest of vegetables and thank you for sharing this video! 👍🐺🙏
Nice to see you so happy Heidi, i'm glad you found a good guy such as Andy, i was worrried about your safety when you had that stalker situation going on so glad you have someone to have your back as you do now, been watching since you were working on the old farm house in the beginning and love your vids, Doug.
Nice Garden with variety and lots of fun with cooking to come . Will look forward to fishing adventures and use of peppers ,Tomatoes and herbs. Thanks Heidi and Andy for sharing.
Thank you both for the video. I only have a little bit of herbs on my 2 windows in my kitchen. Maybe one day I'll get a big yard and have enough for a decent size garden.
i am soooooo happy for you two. the both you seem to be very happy with each other. i hope you and your new found friend stay together for ever. who knows, take care and God Bless...have little people (baby,s) one day some day and teach them to love the outdoors. heidi, i know always wanted to meet a nice, handsome guy.( a very lucky man. take care and God Bless...
Awesome job, Slugs ate all my herbs, they finished off the Coriander, ( the whole plant right down to the soil), then started on the peppers, and demolished the giant Garlic before it had a chance. I need a shot gun to deal with them lol
Wow, I saw the thumbnail and it's the first time I have wanted to watch one of your vids without wanting to "give you a skin care check" because I am a "qualified medical doctor" and my job is to "help you and all of humanity in every possible way I can". My previous curiosity was about 20-40% enjoyment of the outdoors/nature/fishing/hunting/cooking and 60-80% "skin check/overall wellbeing". But this was 100% outdoors
To cut back on the amount of potting soil I need to buy each year, I run all my paper and cardboard through a crosscut shredder and put that in the bottom of my planters.
Now y'all just need a fresh rescue squirrel to go with the new garden. Hard to believe that was fourteen months ago. Time is lightning fast, and life is scary short. What was the li'l fur-face's name, again? Best Heidi scene, ever: the squirrel on your head, before we even knew you two were acquainted. Thought it was random.
That's what I do when I build raised beds. Logs in the bottom, then branches, then leaves and pinestraw from the yard, then compost, top it off with topsoil when planting.
Sorry just 1 last thing. If you grow any Tomatos make sure they are celebrity tomatoe, they are the best to grow due to just 1 tomato plant can produce 20 or more per plant and they are the huge tomato and the juiciest. Seriously some can get almost softball size.
So nice with homegrown weggies...just take care with Carolina Reaper...i put some last year and i love hot spicy dishe's...but this is nerly scary how hott it become when you use it.. 🔥🔥🔥🥵...with right amount of it then it become delicious...😊👍🏼
Re: "bush beans" @ 2:07 - They're a 50-60 day crop. You're unlikely to find starts, and probably need to get seeds. Johnny's, Seed Savers Exchange, Baker Creek, Botanical Interest, et al, will take care of you. Here, I've got Provider and Capitano beginning to produce, with Dragon Tongue on deck, ready for the next succession...
These California Reapers I'm telling you.. 😆 I didn't know you guys have a green thumb.. for me, every plant dies within 30 days no matter what I do.. but I have one Calathea that just refuses to go.. I forget for weeks to water it come back and that fker is like FU I'm alive..🤪
It must be nice to be able to make a few you tube videos a month and be able to afford a house in obx. No hate at all I'm just jealous lol. We can only vacation there three times a year.

That scratch also make excellent composting when they decompose down.😊
Thanks for sharing
Your gardens look way better than mine in amongst the car parts and all

Are you two going to share your fish and crab recipes with us? Always looking for unique recipes. I really want to see how you will use those reapers.
Yes of course!!
A good soil mix for potted tomato's and other plants is 50 % compost and 50% potting soil .
Wow... good
Always love me some Heidi 👍🥰

Nice video. You should have kept your original thumbnail.
I was always told that pine needles were too acidic. That they would burn the roots
I modified my car to run on garden herbs,, I've invented thyme travel 🤦
Phlox capacitor
Those fish looked a little nervous when the saw you and Andy.
Have a feeling your going to have to use those peppers to make a jam or maybe in quacamole.
