this darwin nunez hate is insane to me - that game against brentford he was class the whole game, he was doing bits... also, in that same game, salah skied a ball from in front of the goal, so this "he only misses" thing is weird to me, every striker misses (dont get me wrong, im sooo annoyed at him for missing sitters and he does do that a lot...) but he has such on impact every game he plays. even when he doesnt score, the game changes when he comes on, and if you watch games, you know this.
Fully agree! And he had 2 disallowed goals (rightly so). And one of the goals was an overhead kick. This shows that some of them only watch the highlights or viral videos of his misses on twitter. Do better guys and get the full story.

The thing with Darwin Nunez is that he doesn't just get those chances, he CREATES them. He makes quick run in behind and beats the defense.I'm sure if other strikers could create the chances that Darwin is making in Liverpool, we would be playing them over him.

Nunez has 15 goal contributions in all comps this season. I feel like those takes were just made by just looking at the big chances that go viral. He’s improved so much from the previous season and people only watch him when he plays against big teams.

I have to say I love the pod but the segment on Liverpool is always kind of off, like the take of nunez not dropping the same performances when starting is false, his link up play and all round play has improved massively. His finishing still needs improving but it feels like you guys judge Liverpool based on the highlights you see on sky sports or something. No one really talks about how Liverpool play. Its just singular players that get pointed out like nunez and salah.
From what I’ve seen it seems they see only the mainstream liverpool news and highlights, and won’t really pick up on the depth of the situation; the Nunez and Trent stereotypes just continue when in actual fact, all aspects of nunez game including finishing has improved and trent has been very good defensively overall this season. It’ll be very satisfying when nunez rocks up with 20+ pl goals at the end of this season, and Liverpool end up having one of the best defensive records in a league with a rb who “can’t defend”
In general, Faysal seems to be the only neutral on SDS that watches Liverpool games, beyond highlights.

Nunez chat is thinking wayyy too much into it. A lot of people think Nunez is solely a classic no 9 but Klopp bit by bit is moulding him into almost a false 9/no 9 hybrid. I don’t think he is quite as good as Firmino was when it comes to dropping into those spots, but his link up play, his work rate, the fact that he’s now looking for options even in the box is a massive plus. And he can do the running in from behind! And he doesn’t have the most big chances missed, that’s still Haaland and also Watkins!! He’s great for us, even if the misses he has do happen. People just watch Nunez through Twitter clips now

-more goals than Werner managed in his 2nd season already with 9 less starts
-the same number of goals in his first champions league season at a prem side whilst only making it to the Round of 16 compared to Werner making it to the final
Personally I didn’t think Werner was that bad either (had a good assist tally in 20/21), but to throw this comparison to Nunez does not work in your favour
Not only is he hard to deal with through the middle, he looks really good coming in off the left too. His interplay with the other forwards, especially Salah and Diaz has been awesome to watch.

As a Chelsea fan, I will happily celebrate the shared point against the champions, the most current treble winners. Of course, it's unnatural considering Chelsea's legacy, but this isn't then and we've had a horror season just prior. The atmosphere at Stramford Bridge that day was epic simply due to the unwavering support and to maintain that, we should celebrate such moments. No one has gone toe to toe with City like we had.
Every once in a while, humility needs to be tested. Big Chelsea had to be humbled, that's just the script. We'll return to our glory.
Finally the comments talking about the injustice done to Liverpool on the posdcast. I mike watching the podcast, but never the parts about Liverpool, because no one knows what actually happened throughout the game. We're a top 6 team, not West Ham or Aston Villa, but we get the same amount of coverage as them.
Regarding gvardiol. He has had his amazing moments, watching him week in and out you would see it. However this game city’s whole defense wasn’t up for it tbh. You guys have too much recency bias, especially about Conor Gallagher. You need to understand that Conor Gallagher last season was constantly getting picked by graham potter and not performing. So automatically a lot of Chelsea fans did not want him in the sqaud, this season he has performed well. Especially against the big teams I can’t stress that point enough the BIG TEAMS. I think you guys are overlooking the fact that Chelsea don’t struggle against the big teams it is the 13 other teams that we struggle against. The reason is that we can’t cope with low blocks, although Gallagher is great transition player he does not play well in a possession based team like other people in the squad. So somebody like Cole palmer or Nkunku have to come in and take his position. A lot of people also try to make this a Enzo vs Gallagher debate this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, if you just watch the 4-4 against city you see enzo picking up the ball from the defenders and starting our build up play in left side of the pitch. Conor Gallagher is not a player that can do that. They are two extremely different profiles. I’m not saying gallagher is not a good player he’s is just not suited to the way we need to break down those smalls teams, Imo we can keep him as a weapon against the bigger sides

as an AC Milan fan, i love Thiago Silva, but i don`t think he makes an all time top 10 Brazillian footballers list, i think that list would include a lot of players that i didn`t personally watch.
