Everyone needs a Zack , strawberry boxes 🤗..no more spiders round my feet and I can just eat them as I come out the house 🥰. I love hearing how much you appreciate when Zack builds you things I still love the spoon ..the one you found in the flour whilst making pasta, it is darling and can picture a family of spoons small to large. Take care both xx x
Great job, Zack! I love freshly picked strawberries. My Great nieces’ face (18 months old) was covered in strawberry juice when we went to weigh and pay for our haul. 😂 The family farm owners laughed and said they were gonna make us pay for HER weight. Lol Looks like you are on your way to growing all of your own food.
Strawberry picking or collecting chicken eggs, tomatoes, even herbs that you have grown, is something your son will grow up into & as he gets older, will remember! 🫶🏼👦🏻 #farmlife 👨🏻🌾👩🏻🌾🍓🪚🔨
I love how he said that he could overthink stuff and day long and not be doing anything when he was making the boxes. Zack...We're not doing that today, guys! Loved that so much! ❤ It doesn't have to be perfect!
The next thing you need to build is a workshop to store all your tools and set up your saws and drills in a locked down situation. You can also store all your wood especially if you are drying your cut wood. You also enjoy being able to do wood projects during the winter plus your chopped wood stays dry. You could have a really impressive shop that will last your lifetime. Curious how your bat boxes have turned out?did you get bats living in them?
When I was in junior high a classmate lost his arm using a table saw! So ironic how Jimmy turned out to be an incredible artist! Nothing like a freshly picked strawberry 🍓 And strawberry jelly or jam, Yum! You are so self-sufficient on the homestead. ❤️
We take the heads of the strawberries that we ate & just put them in the ground. This year we have lots of strawberries 🍓 Yours look great love the boxes!
My grandparents had strawberries on one end of their house. I miss those days! As for having a healthy fear of equipment, I was always told that when you stop being afraid of machines (power tools to motorcycles), you aren't as careful when using them.
Fantastic job Zack! I love how you used that little tool to push the wood through the saw. I bought a circular saw a couple of years ago. That thing still scares me. And I'm a girl that loves her tools. YES!...The sound of the nail gun was so satisfying! Kristi, you're so silly girl. Love ya!❤
❤Nothing like picking your own & enjoying your garden. Have you tried fig trees? I live in the East Coast so I have to keep them in a pot (11 fig trees) & when I say I …I mean my husband.😂 it’s amazing just to have figs & pluck & eat.
It’s so hard to grow things in Texas. The sun just wants to kill everything that dares to thrive here hahah. Either that or i just have a black thumb 😂
better be safe than sorry with these tools... 😂 Uncle of mine had a metal splinter in hes eye from cutting open the lid of a metal barrel. Some things can be prevented so easily
Nice boxes but why without a solid bottom? Aren't you loosing a lot of water and soil as you water your strawberries daily? Thanks for sharing your ideas and gardening tips.
Table saws can be nasty. I had a piece of wood fly off and hit my neck when I was teen in shop class. Our shop teacher lost the tip of his finger on one. Safety first!!!
Poor guy with the table saw 😭 I have five different saws I use on the regular and by far the table saw sketches me out the worst. I avoid it the best I possibly can 🙈
I’d love to grow strawberries, but I live in a super hot, arid climate 😢 It gets over 120°F in the summer, and stays hot for a large portion of the year 😬If anybody has any suggestions/ knows any resources that are helpful for either growing food indoors or in a desert hellscape climate, it would be MUCH appreciated!!
You can absolutely grow them indoors near a south facing window. I’m not sure how big the berries would be but I’m sure you can get something in the spring / summer months

“Why can’t I be regular” 😂😂 I can always count on you for a laugh
regular people are boring!
Yummy... Zack you did awesome at building the boxes and you also do great at making videos give yourself more credit. Blessings!
I love how he said that he could overthink stuff and day long and not be doing anything when he was making the boxes.

Loved that so much! ❤

Oh my gosh what a nightmare!
I’m always inspired by these homestead videos ❤
I love them! Going to show my man and hopefully our porch when being built can have this in mind!!!
Wow Wonderful Garden ~

The planters are super cute and what a great idea.
I love watching you guys! You’re the nicest people on RUclips ❤️

You can never be too safe! I’m going to try to grow strawberries next spring on my apartment patio!
I LITERALLY could not figure out why my strawberry plant produced fruit for a few weeks and then stopped, but kept growing and now i get it!
Perfect, getting ready to plant strawberries this spring.
Awesome! (P.S. my uncle lost 2 fingers from a table saw 😬 definitely something to be careful with as you said!)
I have heard soooo many horror stories from them I hardly want to touch it anymore 😮
Great job, Zack!
We love our Ryobi. Obviously DeWalt is tried and true, but Ryobi puts up a good fight for #2!
Love love love! 🍓 those look so good

I did it for drainage but I’m sure you are right. I’m planning on building more so maybe I’ll experiment with a solid bottom and a drain hole

So cute! Will definitely try (hope the birds don't eat all the strawberries)
I hope so too!

They are just so powerful and things can go wrong very quickly 😬
@sweetlifeofzackkristi9574 agreed, I HATE them! No matter how many safety gadgets they come with, I'm always sweating by the time I am done with it
Is there a benefit to nailing versus screwing?
These boards are thin and would split with the screws we have so I used 18g nails.
Do you guys have any deterents for bears?
There isn’t much that will deter a hungry bear tbh
🍓🍓🍓
Will they live through winter?
They survive down to zone 4 winters. Or down to -20 F
🍓
Never be regular please! ❤

@@sweetlifeofzackkristi9574 Excellent to know!! I’ll be sure to try this! Thank you! 💖
Table saws 🪚 are scary. My uncle yrs ago (30 yrs ago) lost his thumb at the joint due to a table saw. You did a great job!!
