So after your first client, how did you grow the biz? You guys never circled back to that. You simply posted ads in facebook buy in sell groups? How did you get into commercial? I'm 100% novice here interested in maybe giving it a "go" hah Appreciate all tips!
Another great video. I offer window cleaning and pressure washing services, and some of the houses I come across have poop 💩 in the yard. Some jobs I’ve turned down, because I didn’t want to step in dog poop while working. I’m thinking of adding this service as an add on.
As a service contractor for 40 years in Ca, much of which for Relators or owners with multiple single or multi residences, I can state there is no amount of money that can justify the risk/liability of working for an HOA. It is a when not an if on your getting sued either by them, in addition to them, or by their unhappy owners you are working for. This is why your General Liability Policy specifically excludes HOA's unless you specifically add them.
Great question. Never really thought of that. Landscapers probably spread more animal feces from yard to yard than a scooper ever would. We all know the answer to that question is no, so therefore why is it an added service/cost to the scooper? If you're a landscaper you should add the poop scoop service prior to your mowing service. You could send in your scooper team prior to your mow and really rake in the cash.
@ thank you for the answer. Then it would be a matter of scheduling between the scooper and landscaper. But would the landscaper get a “cut” by increasing the scoopers price?
As for hauling it away, best practice is to check with your city. See what transfer station / dump / landfill / organic waste facility it should be taken to according to local laws. Don't put bags of poop in random dumpsters.
Exactly! Don't label your business as a "removal" service. I am a "pick up" service and you will be made aware that the waste goes in your garbage cans. Easiest way to do it.
I had a great time chatting with Adam! Thank you jobber!
Thank you for being part of the show, Erica!

So you have to sanitize your equipment to not contaminate other yards but do the landscapers sanitize their mowers after going over it?
Great question. Never really thought of that.

It’s like a rotten Easter egg hunt scooping poop from my 2 Rottweilers on 2 acres.
Might be time to hire a pet waste removal company to take care of that for you!

@@KroopinsPoopinScoopinI’m loving your video on your cool poop scooping biz. Gracias!!! Do you offer consulting? I want to start?
Great information
Amazing interviewer!
You inspire me to start scooping.
Are dogs put away? Are owners home ?
Great video.
I am going to start a business where i show up to peoples homes and flush their toilets
How do you keep the dogs from attacking or jumping all over you?
As long as you are just showing up to pick up the poop dogs will appreciate it and leave you alone as long as you don't show up to drop off mail
What does she mean by commercial 😊
Commercial means commercial properties (condos, businesses, dog parks etc.)
