No voiceover in this one. It's less of a tutorial than just a build video. I hope you enjoy it
As I said in my last video, I'm using miniatures 8n my work to bring more life to my scenes. But I don't want to use them.in 'usual' ways.
I want viewers to think, 'What is this person doing? What are they thinking? Why are they there?' or 'What's happening?!'
So I chose these beautiful 1/35 scale US Airborne miniatures from Stalingrad Miniatures and put the one that was supposed to be in a Jeep in a tree instead. I imagine this is just after they've landed in Normandy.
I must have watched Band of Brothers a dozen times through now.
I'm enjoying making these WW2 dioramas.
Thanks to Diorama Presepe for gifting me their products as featured in this video.

Beautiful piece Merrick! Missed your voice in there but I suppose sometimes it's nice to just get a project out and let it speak for itself too.😊💛
Thanks Neil. Really appreciate it. I just find voiceovers exhausting and I don't have much in the tank at the moment, what with working full time on my day job (which I love, but doesn't leave much time for making videos).
@@HighEyeWorkshop I hear ya there %100. Well it was a great vid without, as much as I enjoy the voiceover too. Really great job with this one and the paint job on those minis is 👌
Amen, another Masterpiece.
Yet another beautiful and spontaneously built diorama. So simple but stunning. Missed your voice.
Beautiful work Merrick. It's a lovely idea to leave the viewer to consider what's happening in the scene. I also have to say the music was fantastic and very fitting.
Thanks so much, mate. Really glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely, as always…thank you
i really like the atmosphere of this diorama! :)
This is beautiful, I love how your pieces always tell a story.
Hello, Merrick!

It’s an ace built but I like to hear your voice on the vids 😊
love this❤️❤️❤️
Another brilliant tutorial, thank you so much. I missed the voiceover, though.
Thanks Betty. I just find the voiceover hard and need to be in mentally the right place.
@@HighEyeWorkshop Sure. I can understand that. I also love how you painted the models, by the way, they look superb!
😍😍😍🔥🔥
Nice work! But what happened to the BAR and the missing/short gun barrel?
Thank you 🙂 It's how they came.
wooooooooooooooooooooooooooow magic :)
a hug Broooo
Cheers Fabio 🙂
👍klasse 🔥😍 Hammer geil
Amazing as always! Where do you get those tufts from?
Some are from Noch, some are from Diorama Presepe and some are from WWS 👍
Great work as usual, especially as I love doing WWII, do prefer you talking through the process though..
Very poignant... and the music was perfect. I always enjoy watching you put together a diorama. This one has so much feeling in it. The men looking over their shoulders in the same direction... did they hear something? Is it friend or foe? Will they live to see another hour, let alone a day? I know it isn't easy to do voice-overs. You need to be feeling able to. But this one didn't really need you telling what you were doing... and watching it come together without your voice maybe made it even more poignant once finished. At any rate, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write this thoughtful comment. Really appreciated! And I'm so glad the piece provoked these questions.
😊👍👍
: )
Yes it’s a beautiful piece but many people can’t afford to buy endless amounts of store bought stuff. If I were to add up the price if everything shown here it would be huge. Do you ever make anything yourself? That’s why I like Luke and several of the others. They use a lot of self made materials to save money which most of us need to do. I’m not here to make the hobby store rich. Let’s see a little home made materials besides the costly ones.
