Get profit out of medical care! It should not be a "for profit" industry!

This is terrible. It's unfair. Options need to be available for women and everyone. Why do lobbists get to choose what happens in our healthcare .

I'll tell you exactly how it happened. I'm a retired surgical scrub nurse and the insurance companies are interested in making money they are not interested in making people's lives better it's all about the money the money the money!!!!!!!!

What is the point of even having insurance(any kind-health, home, car, etc.), if it's not helpful/there to use when you need it? And, the second you file a claim, even for the most insignificant thing, besides fighting you on payment, they raise your rates as a punishment for daring to need it.

At the end of the day it’s always about making a profit for these insurance companies at the expense of a patient. That’s not fair healthcare😮

Keep following on this issue, if nobody keep them accountable
the insurance companies will start not paying for these necessary surgeries for the survivors.

So the 'replace implants every 10 years' is that for silicone implants? I've had my saline for 20 years with no issues. Either way, insurance should take care of their customers. Especially when it comes to cancer aftermath.

Insurance companies disregard concern of individuals medical health needs. Only view people as income to acquire more profit for their own bonuses & business. Greedily, compulsively accumulating by cutting coverages. We people deserve higher standards of an oversight committee that does not bend a knee allowing mistreatment to continue .

It's a slightly bias reporting Medicare & Medicaid are taxpayer funded programs BCBS offer various coverage through M/M coverage. They didn't ppl to get on Medicaid or Medicare just so they have this procedure. And Diep Flap surgery is two surgeries in at once with more possible complications. It's a high risk surgery.

Insurance is paying for men to have breast implants just for bought 'on demand' letters from online doctors, so it can surely pay for reconstructive surgery for every woman who needs it after cancer.

I am so happy that Blue Cross Blue Shield covered my DIEP flap. There would be no way that I could afford to pay the close to $300k bill. This procedure is not just for esthetics, this is necessary to avoid breast cancer. How can insurance companies and the government put profit ahead of patients’ health. They should leave the medical decisions to the surgeons and patients.
