As. Floral designer for over 30 years my favorite flower is STILL the Carnation . They last , they smell wonderful . So many people are off put by the affiliation to funerals. I've had every amazing flower at my disposal but I bring these home and cut them down and place them in a Victorian Compote.

Beautiful! I've seen this before but they made the top with red gladiolus. Looks more defined. They cut off part of the foam tip and ad the top of a gladiolus Great job!
the length of the stems is important here. cutting them so short, does not allow you to maintain the shape of the tree. they do not look arranged, they are smashed together.
