I grew up in Honolulu but my grandparents lived in the Pahala plantation camp. And my Mom grew up there and graduated from Kau High. So I spent many summers at my grandparents home in Pahala with my cousins, Aunts and Uncles.
My uncle was the Postmaster in Pahala. My aunt had a barber shop. We went to Naalehu theatre. Great times at the Punaluu black sand beach. Warm memories from the 60’s and 70’s up to the present. ❤
