That 'African Walk' was even better than the first time, if that was even possible. Finally someone who's a celeb who danced a Samba and looked like a pro! No brainer: 10!
I know I'm late to the party, but it's funny - for the dance that seemingly required little to no improvement, based on the perfect score, it's actually the dance where I saw the most improvement. Danny aced this Samba, now the only dance that's undefeated in terms of perfect scores is the Rumba..
You know, I've been meaning to ask since last series, what is the African walk? Is that another name for the promenade runs? Or is it the bit at 0:45? Or 1:21?
I am absolutely gutted danny and oti didn't win. they gave the show something it's never seen before. oti's choreography was insanely amazing, so fresh and intense and just always had the wow factor. Danny dances so beautifully with such authenticity and charisma. I am so sad they didn't win. they are the true winners and it's their performances we will never ever forget. the best routines, the best dancing and the best partnership ever on strictly. I genuinely feel so sad and feel they have been robbed
They may not have "won" a glitter ball, but they surely were the best dancers on SCD EVER. I'm still going back to Danny's first dance, the Cha Cha Cha, and watching it in astonishment and wonder. I knew then that he was going to be something special. He was all that and more. There is NO comparison between Danny and Ore. One is a natural born dancer, the other isn't a dancer at all. And a year from now, who will remember him?
foreverspring I always think that whilst Ore was great (and good for him and Jo winning, he was my second favourite along with Greg), Danny has the flair and showmanship to actually continue his dancing in his career, to a much higher level than he ever did previously. Whilst he did musicals, I feel like he could now go on to do even more dance-based work and I'd love to see that. Ore on the other hand, was a good dancer and on a level with many previous winners me but didn't have that grace that makes you a born-dancer.
@@foreverspring Agree, it was a bullshit result. Danny is probably the best ever celeb on Strictly and could have possibly been a pro dancer had he chosen that path.
If they get Ben Shepherd to take part (he studied dances in his youth) maybe we might get a better dancer. But Ben is much older than Danny (looks wise, what with his wrinkles). Such a pity, Danny DID have the potential of garnering perfect scores from beginning to the end, like what Caroline did in the final, but what a time to mess up the QS! I feel for him and Oti, they must be kicking themselves for that. But at least he came back doing that other two routines perfectly...
Scd Observer I've always wanted to see him on the show. I feel he could be a delight like Matt Baker, although I think he would be the male version of Louise. Full of potential but the age has ruined it.
Easily should have been the winner tonight... Dance training or not, Danny was on a completely different level to the rest of the celebs and Oti was nothing but brilliant either, what a woman!!! And and amazing partnership! Also previous dance training hasn't stopped winners on past series either!!!! Ah well, Danny + Oti you guys are the winners in my eyes ❤️ complete perfection from start to finish
Yasss Danny Mac has officially tied the Strictly record for most perfect scores! And he is now officially the best male celeb, and the 2nd best celeb dance in Strictly history. Now for them to win! Pleaseeee
Caroline Flack! Who broke the previous record of 3 perfect scores (Lisa Snowdon, Pamela Stephenson, Kimberley Walsh, Natalie Gumede all had 3 before Caroline got 4 - and now Danny Mac has 4!) Disappointed they didn't win but after a whole series of spectacular dancing from them - it doesn't make a whole load of a difference does it? :)
Archy Ashton are you ore's wife or something? Why do you keep commenting about bloody ore on DANNY'S video? We get it he won. No need to repeat the same thing 100 times.
This final played out like a movie. We had the naturally gifted lead take up dance with his amazing partner. They get to the final of the big competition they've dedicated months to. And then they make a mistake int he first dance. Their second dance is a masterpiece. And then they go all out with their favourite, iconic routine. But they don't win. It goes to the competitor. A bittersweet ending, but they journey was so good and they made Strictly history with that Samba.
I could watch this and their show dance for ever. This is the best Samba I've seen on Strictly and the show dance was awesome. This is my highlight of SCD2016
Danny Mac you were robbed of the win. You are so talented and have an incredible technical ability. You were the most outstanding dancer this series and your consistency was admirable. I doubt your dancing could be topped in any future series of Strictly. Well done 👍🏼You should be so proud of what you achieved. Amazing 😬
happy for ore as he seems like such a lovely man and had a great journey but deep down i was team doti all the way, this is the greatest strictly dance ever tbh
Wow that dance is just amazing to watch can't take my eyes off it, that is by far the best dance on that show in my opinion I hope he keeps dancing lol because he was just great disappointed he didn't win he totally deserved it
Rightful winner in my eyes!! So sad for Oti that she never got to lift the trophy as she is by far the best pro dancer and choreographer amazing routines!! :(
This will forever be my favourite strictly dance and strictly couple. Oti creates beyond magical dances that I can't stop watching and Danny has improved sooooo much during this competition. The public seem to never vote for the couple that most people really want to win but I think we all know that Danny and Oti are the true winners based on the fact that there will never been a couple like them. Winners in my eyes 💃🏾🚶🏽❤️xx
I love Ore!!! He was my second favourite so I guess over anyone else, I'm glad he won.. but Danny should have! Danny has been phenomenal throughout and I know people say "we like someone who's had a journey" but personally, I don't give an f about that. I just like someone if they blow me away consistently and make me excited for the following week just to see what they produce. An incredible talent, Danny. Oti gave great choreography and I'm also happy that on her second season she got so far considering last time she didn't get a good person so she was out early.
Watching their first performance of this samba and this finale you can really see how much he has improved. I am glad they performanced this samba again as it was a great combination of talent, skill, and passion through Danny, Oti, the band, the make up and wardrobe teams, the lighting, etc... Superb!
Data97 Data Either Danny or Ore were gonna win. Both have been amazing and equally deserved to win. I tried to vote several times for Danny and for at least an hour the line was engaged so obviously ppl were voting for him. In my view both Ore and Danny are winners but if I had to pick one I'd watch again it would be Danny.
Actually improved from the one before - complete confidence and letting-lose - I was afraid that his first dance would get him down, so this is all the more impressive! So glad they got that synchro-problem sorted in the middle. Well-deserved 10 and a true natural talent.
I would just like to say how utterly devastated I am that these two didn't win. I've watched Strictly since I was little girl and I have never enjoyed watching two people as much as Danny and Oti. Everything about them, their technique, their chemistry, their personality, was just out of this world. These two were breathtaking and Oti's choreography is the best this show has seen. How these two didn't win just sums up this awful year. I'm afraid to say that after this travesty, Strictly has finally put me off and I don't wish to see next season. Please don't say Ore came on a "journey" and Danny didn't; Ore peaked at the beginning and spent most of the competition being mediocre and then the judges overmarked him so he could win. If you watch Danny carefully, you can see him improving every week, especially in his confidence in his dance ability. I just want to end by saying that I am so lucky to have seen these two dance and for me, they will always be the winners in my eyes. 💖
Heather Gunn Forget the glitterball trophy. In my eyes, and in the eyes of many I think, Danny and Oti are the real winners. I'm sad not because they didn't win, but because the show is over and we won't see Danny's amazing dancing any more.
I don't think Ore was overmared, apart from the Argentine Tango. Personally I think Danny was overmarked more - the quickstep in the final, the foxtrot and the charleston
+Suspicious Windmills I completely disagree. First, with regards to Danny's foxtrot and quickstep, he made 1-2 mistakes but the rest of the routine was absolutely amazing that it would have been harsh to give them anything less. And his Charleston was absolutely stunning! The style, choreography, technique was just all there, especially compared to Ore's which didn't have any swivel AND he almost let Jo fall. As for the rest of Ore's dances, well...I could go on and on about over marking, such as his foxtrot in which he lost balance SEVERAL TIMES yet got a 36. What about his rumba, which lacked hip action and sway yet received a 35, equal to Danny's? I'm sorry, but Ore has been the judges' favourites and it's shown in his scores and the comments Len repeatedly makes about him "being the spirit of Strictly". I am really sad for Danny and Oti because it seems the odds were always stacked against them and their hard work and brilliance didn't result in them winning, which is sad.
I wish they'd done their American Smooth to Misty Blue, because I thought it was so beautiful. However the judges didn't seem to like it as much as this samba, so I can understand why they went with this one. If Danny and Oti don't win it will be a traversty.
He has had dancing lessons before he was on the show and ore didn't so that is why ore won the show. Stop saying he should of won he was a good dancer but he had dance lessons before strictly
After watching some 'sambas' on DWTS earlier, I just had to come back here and remind myself what it's supposed to look like. If the celebs were judged by "real judges" (those who judge genuine dance competitions, you can bet Danny and Oti would have won by a mile or three. They were so much better than everyone else, and if a winner is going to be chosen on what he does on the final night as opposed to the entire series, what's the point?
Resist the devil, you can do it flee, in the strength God gives you in Christ, rejoce in Christ tho, you don’t need that evil you hold on too, repent and trust Jesus, trust Him 💃🏻❤️
Just looked at some comments here, yes Danny Mac is a brilliant dancer. However, drama school does teach some dancing. Ore had had no dance lessons at all, strictly is about the ability to dance but also the longest JOURNEY. Ore Oduba ticked both boxes completely , incredible competition.
As much as I love this dance, I really wish they had done something from earlier on in the competition. This already had a 40 and didn't feel like he could improve on much in the dance because it was so good the first time round. Would have loved to have seen his Jive or Cha Cha instead.
Max Smith I think you'll find that the man actually says something along the lines of 'Dancing the Samba to become Strictly Champions, Danny and Oti'. He said the same thing for the other 2 couples! The BBC aren't covering up a fix because there is no fix to cover up!
ShiningStar77 no, no! Ore danced better overall than this guy tonight. People voted for Ore because he can dance for a damn sports presenter! Thank you!
THeYoLoDoVaHkIIn Not quite. Ore danced his easy routines well. Danny's routines were far more complex and his dancing was technically superior. Had he not made a mistake in his first dance he would have gotten perfect scores on all three dances.
Ore's routine was not easy and neither was Danny's. Calling them easy routines is disrespectful and quite childish - that jive is by no means easy and he nailed it, that American Smooth had so many opportunities to go wrong and it didn't and that showdance... WOW. That drum section could've ended not only their chance of winning but possibly the blood flow as well. Danny's were difficult, but so were Ore's. And Ore simply danced better and the public noticed that. In this final, Ore was the better dancer so he deserved to win.
a better performance from the first one! the basic Samba at 00.54 could have been done better, more action in the hip and knees especially, however at 01.25 was a spot on improvement from the first time round for sure!! it was more 'top half' at 00.54 which distracted from the basic move, that's the only thing I could put my finger on lol there were a few arm movements at the beginning which were a bit off but I would put that down to nerves so wouldn't impose point reduction as it still looked ok, he soon relaxed and enjoyed it which is what dancing is all about...... feeling the music and getting the vibe and then it will flow :)
The true winner = everyone who got to view this perfection. Gutted he didn't win.
they definitely got robbed
The greatest samba ever danced on Strictly Come Dancing.
That 'African Walk' was even better than the first time, if that was even possible. Finally someone who's a celeb who danced a Samba and looked like a pro! No brainer: 10!
Scd Observer This was definitely better than before. It scored them 40 that first time, in my view this deserved higher marks if it had been possible.
Matthew Donovan Like eleven paddle? For this dance, I'll make an exception too. LOL
I know I'm late to the party, but it's funny - for the dance that seemingly required little to no improvement, based on the perfect score, it's actually the dance where I saw the most improvement.

Let's continue to hope Ben will take part and put our speculations to rest! LOL
I think this will go down as the best routine a celebrity has performed on strictly. Ever.
That boy danced that like he was born to be wild. Wow!
Such a shame they didn't win- the best male dancer Strictly's ever had and ever will have.
You are my winner Danny Mac & Oti Mabuse. Thank you very much for your amazing Rumba.
Oti, the best choreographer.
That left me breathless. AMAZING DARLING!

Four years on I still can't believe they were not crowned champions.
Best Strictly routine of all time. X
Fiona Midgley. Their show dance was amazing too
OMG he was robbed. they all danced well, but Danny had a real 'magic' about his dancing. This samba is quite possibly the best strictly has ever had!
Emma Campbell Magalenha is magical in Portuguese, fitting....
The best series so far, finishing with the best dance of the series danced better than the first time. Who cares who won? That was sensational.

Oti is just incredible!!!
This dance revitalised my interest in the show, it was all getting a bit predictable. Stunning stage lighting and scene to go with the dance too.
danny should have won :( this samba was on fire
I have to make another comment. AMAZING!
Danny Mac & Oti Mabuse should have won by a big margin the BBC favored ORE ODUBA as the sport presenter....
Nah, Ore won fair and square :)
Dance is the most wonderful thing

The judges choice - Quickstep
Danny & Oti choice - Samba
They are also my SCD 2016 winners! 😢
Absolutely spot on.
I'm scratching my head how can this lose?! Ha! The British are funny
ifunanya24 Not all of us, you do not want to know how many times I voted for them 😂
i swear oo my sister..I'm still watching this till now
Best samba on either SCD or DWTS ever, doubt it will be beaten.
Oh my god I 💖u to guy's I give you a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danny Woz Robbed ☹️Still the most amazing Samba Ever Seen. ❤️❤️
Love love love this dance 💜
Should have won! Totally Unfair.
Kirsty Mitchell Ore deserved it
Ore did well today. And I am happy for him and Joanne. But Danny is the best dancer I have ever seen on Strictly and I would have loved him to win.
He has had dancing lessons before he was on the show and ore didn't so that is why ore won the show. Stop saying he should of won he was a good dancer but he had dance lessons before strictly
AMAZING BEST DANCE
Danny should've won. His Samba was better than all of the other contestants and I think he deserved to win.
this song keeps playing on my mind 😎
Oti darling, u defo should have gone for that kiss pmsl 😂
DANNY TO WIN
Best dancers
After watching some 'sambas' on DWTS earlier, I just had to come back here and remind myself what it's supposed to look like. I sincerely hope Magalenha has been retired from the Strictly song list, because anyone else who dances to it will be judged against this masterpiece, and almost surely will be found wanting.
The lighting for this dance was incredible. So much better than the cheap-looking AR they used in 2020.
Eu como Brasileira achei perfeito. Estou encantada!
2024 and still the greatest Samba ever...
#DannyMacWasRobbed
Danny by far should of won he was the better dancer and I'm so annoyed that Ore won... your my winner Danny!!
Cat Ore had no dance experience Danny did Ore deserved to win
Where did you get idea that DANNY had dance experience? He certainly had no experience in Ballroom and Latin. So stop making incorrect assertions.
foreverspring cause he told everyone
Well Ore had to have a little dance experience as he had to do to drama school to become a presenter
Also the show is meant to be who is the better dancer nothing to do with if they have or not it is who dance best and Danny did!
Bring it Danny Mac!! ;)
Who else is here reminiscing in 2022 coz Oti is leaving??? Best routine ever - will miss her fire 🔥 & choreography on the dancefloor.
I usually don't like Sambas, but this one was really great! Loved the theme and the music too.
This song means so much can’t believe it’s forty years
Im gutted he didnt win he has been consistently incredible throughout yes louise and ore were great but Danny was on another level he has been robbed lol
I loved loved loved this dance yet loved ore soooooooooooo much I so can't believe he won I'm soooooooooo happy
Still loving this in 2020 lockdown part 2 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I still smile watching this. Perfection.
I never tire of watching this...
Favorite Dance so far on SCD, but I still believe Ore deserved to win...
- *My Opinion* -
He was that good and came second!!! BLIMEY the standard was stratospheric this year!
If the celebs were judged by "real judges" (those who judge genuine dance competitions, you can bet Danny and Oti would have won by a mile or three. They were so much better than everyone else, and if a winner is going to be chosen on what he does on the final night as opposed to the entire series, what's the point?
I'd give anything to dance this alone with Danny ;) I just fall in love @ 0:24! He's steaming hot...
Even better and more expressive than the first time. And they didn't win. Even in 2020 the mind boggles😐
Danny should have won. ;-;
Resist the devil, you can do it flee, in the strength God gives you in Christ, rejoce in Christ tho, you don’t need that evil you hold on too, repent and trust Jesus, trust Him 💃🏻❤️
Danny should have won, im no longer watching scd if its that fixed, this was a no brainer.
Brave and brilliant!
Very well said ammelia. Thank you :)
oti should definitely go to dwts now...scd doesn't deserve her 😕
I love this dance
Danny should have won
My favourites!
As much as I love this dance, I really wish they had done something from earlier on in the competition. This already had a 40 and didn't feel like he could improve on much in the dance because it was so good the first time round. Would have loved to have seen his Jive or Cha Cha instead.
Danny and Oti should have won they put some much time effort and energy into there dances there were robbed big time from the title
Them hip actions🔥🔥
this dance was absolutely fantastic and so was there show dance, how didn't they win ???
ore didn't deserve to win
Ore more than deserved to win. ALL the finalists deserved to win.
Wow.
I still to this day dont understand why they didn't win.
At the start of the video the man calls them strictly come dancing champions don't know why it's been cut out of this video, BBC covering their fixes
Max Smith I think you'll find that the man actually says something along the lines of 'Dancing the Samba to become Strictly Champions, Danny and Oti'. He said the same thing for the other 2 couples! The BBC aren't covering up a fix because there is no fix to cover up!
u can't tell which one was the pro that's how good it was
Best best dance on strictly ever. So unique and original andthey were robbed. Wow
ROBBED !!!

What other Hollyoaks actors competed on SCD?
You know why not many people left commments? Because they were so speechless!
I swear I thought this was two pros doing a demo. I had no idea he was a contestant. #fuckingincredible
.. this DIDN'T deserve a 10,
It deserved an OSCAR.
SHOW STOPPING, performance.
who cares if danny had previous dance experience this is getting tedious and boring. he should have won so sad he didnt.
I feel sorry for the couple who came next.
'FOLLOW THAT.. if you dare'
Best dance, EVA, in my opinion.
