Awesome looking li'l tugboat and super smooth launch! Excellent job, neighbours! Greetings from Hungary!
TugBoats are just plain COOL
One of the smoothest launches ever!
That soundtrack takes me back to every 90s action movie panning shot ever
wow amazing bro🥰
Beautiful tug
Nice launch
Why do they launch a ship sideways and not stern or bow first like you do with any other ship or boat?
I thought the idea was to keep the deck as dry as possible rather than submerge it.
You're less likely to break the keel (back) of the boat and you can do it in shallow water even with a long boat
Launching front-back is generally pretty bad for a host of reasons and stresses, as well as costs.
Even the comparatively small narrow-boats here in the UK (~72ft long, 6ft beam, 2-5ft draught depending on load) were traditionally launched sideways into the cut
"any other ship"??? I've watched like 7 ship launch videos in a row just now. EVERY ONE was sideways launch.
are they launched with anybody on board?
Boy, that has 45 knots written all over it.
