Actually, there IS a hotel at Silom District near BTS Saladaeng. My family and I were staying at Ibis Styles Silom Hotel during December 2022 and it was a wonderful experience. Definitely a good area to stay with many facilities, shopping areas and BTS nearby!
In the 80s, I worked for ICM international Committee of Migration. We processed refugees for their final destination. I recalled a place called Lumpini where they housed refugees from Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia who were ready to get on their flight to their third countries. With today technology, I'm trying to see if the place is still there. I recalled it with three buildings. If I walked toward Phloen Chit Road, there was a community market. And I would reach US Embassy if I walked a little further. I recalled a new tall hotel was built near Phloen Chit on Withayu Road. I believe Withayu Road used to be Wireless Road. Phloen Chit used to be something else. Back then, there was no BTS.
I've been to bkk several times and i prefer the Chong Nonsi area. 1) ease to bts 2) food easy to find 3) 7-11/tops very close by and 4) nightlife, or more truthfully, lack of night life. I like being able to walk down the street without masseuse's grabbing my arm. I like NOT having ping pong show advertisement stuck in my face or pics of ladies available for service. If i feel the need for that I'm less than a 15 minute walk away from Pat Pong. this is just my personal thoughts, to each their own.
Hi, is there possible to take reguler Taxi for 5 people (4 adult + 1 kid) in Bangkok ? I will come to Bangkok next year. Thanks for your advice 🙏 i like your chanel , very helpful
Frankly speaking, I find that food stores around Charoen Krung are so much better than China Town in Bangkok. They are cleaner, taste good, and reasonably priced.
