Beyblade since it's original first season unfortunately has a pattern of introducing new characters with awesome power and victories against the mainliners of the show and then after they get beat by them, they fall pretty hard. In beyblade we see robert of the majestics whooping tyson's ass and he a few episodes later he joins kai and more bladers to fight tyson alone for the tala battle. The saint shields in vforce win a few times and even steal driger and thej they all get swept. Still for me the biggest bs on the metal saga is the fact that kyoya was not able to defeat gingka one time, specially because he was almost defeating ryuga and he only lost because the dark powerd took ryuga over. Great video!
Tala getting whooped is justified, g revolution had a theme about hard work matching talent so Tala being weaker than the bladebreakers is cool. Especially when he still seems like a dick, he said he was planning to use Kai, although Kai also used him so yeah I guess his character fr got wasted
The reason why his fall from grace was noticeable is that all his fellow strong bladers have gotten more powerful gingka acquired galaxy pegasus ryuga & kyoya left to do their respective training arc coming back even more powerful than ever & tsubasa got his sub plot of beating the dark power & makes it his own he swiftly defeated both sophie & wale who were un movable before later he defeated an opponent leader in full power & masamune beating yu was a huge disservice to the character because masamune lost for over 20 times against beginner galaxy pegasus & now he defeated yu that's so bad for him yu didn't get any stronger it felt like he actually regressed he no longer can survive underwater & he don't have any notable battles of his own he got destroyed twice leaving him out of commission which didn't help his case either
Yu Tendo is literally my fav character & Libra was my fav beyblade I believe Yu went from 3rd most OP (Survival battle) to finishing the season as 7th / 8th overall in the season ( behind Gingka Ryuga Kyoya Phoenix Reji Tsubasa & Doji ) Metal masters story arc for Yu was relatively expected as by process of elimination Yu was so OP in the qualifiers, yet got dogged on by Masamune n Tsubasa ( Yes my guy lost like 3 decisive matches just within the first few episodes ) Where I hoped to see more importance was when Yu & Tsubasa goes more 2v2 I wanted to see Yu actually dominate his opponents by just solo-Ing with inferno blast & taking over in small lapses Tsubasa went crazy ( like don’t just be screaming at him to snap out, you’re there to fight n show ur power too ) Only bright side for Yuu in metal fury was Final Inferno Blast & actually being included to fight nemesis, my fav bey n relatable character got dogged on the whole series Personally looking back at it, Yuu n flame libra has its limit as a character ( as Libra is just a scale and there’s not much constellation animation able to fight), if I could change the story is that I won’t let him get beat down as much, the show literally paced Inferno Blast like a special move every freaking Bey could break through just with sheer power. Man has the most broken bey counter in beyblade at like 5-6 times man it hurts
@@frankschaefer8890 no way dude Yuu got complacent, Tsubasa easily man handles Yu, while Phoenix doesn’t even need a special move to put out Tsubasa Doji never faced Yu but Doji darkness howling blazer is not a move everyone can easily defeat
I feel like Yu was introduced to us in Fusion as “too strong.” Ngl him beating Gingka off rip should’ve lead to something more down the line but it never did. Idk maybe he should’ve drew with Gingka in the survivor final battle so that it could give them a reason to having the battle bladers tournament as a tournament to really decide who is the strongest amongst the 2 (and all the others). Just an idea
Thing is , Yu needed to win the survival battle so he could wish for Battle Bladers on behalf of the Dark Nebula. So you could say the plot demanded Yu to win there, whereas later it demanded him to lose.
To this day, I wish they did more with Sora. His episodes were really fun to watch since it simultaneously showcased his development of going from a cocky underdog to someone who stands up for the innocent and also Kenta's by putting him in a mentor position which was interesting since Kenta himself was the "newbie" among Gingka's friend group. Even his bey was great, easily my favorite from Metal Fusion.
sora did become a part of gingka's friend group in the manga, he even fought ryuga at battle bladers and fought along side gingka's friends against rago in the manga
Realistically Yu could have defeated every non leader blader except the American team and maybe Nile. He has both sharp eye sight and good hearing and is his own genius. His bey has Amazing stamina, his infernal blast is unstoppable unless you have a direct counter or have a attack of a giant scale that can match him.
You're forgetting a few expectionaly strong blayders. Like Dahsian and Julian. Who are without a doubt stronger then Nile by a fair margine. They all defeat Yu imo. Especially Dashain. He would win mid diff
I personally fantasized if a series in which sora is the main character. Kenta is his mentor and Yu us his rival/freind. Yu is a good sidecharacter . And the antagonists would be hades henchmen but not johannes .
He was 5th in Metal fusion after Gingka Ryuga Ryo(Phoenix) Kyoya and Tsubasa. Should have stayed that way or he should have gotten better. Yu lost to Masamune but Masamune felt weaker than him considering all the time Masamune lost later on.
you forgot reiji and doji, reiji straight up beat Yu in the most 1 sided fight and doji was exactly on par with Ryo, who only won because of sagitario's fragment in the wolf bey, so yeah as much as I love Yu (his bey is my zodiac sign) he was at best 7th
@@SinMissilsNah, Gingka beat doji before he battled Ryuga for the first time and Yu defeated Gingka later. Ryo and Reiji one felt more of a plot armour but yeah I forgot Reiji completely.
Idk I think he could beat Phoenix, he did tie with tsubasa one time. But I feel like he was better he was way more skilled than massamune, as shown in the episode when he saw through strikers movements and was hunting it down. He only really lost due to plot armor, I mean he beat gingka and kyoya in metal fusion at the same time, even though kyoyas bey was damaged but still. He could have beaten jack too I feel like, even though they are both stamina types, Libra was known to be the ultimate stamina type bey.
Yeah, Sora has so much potential with his Cyber Pegasus, it's sad he was never in the main cast and was forgotten just like that from episode 37 by the anime and made little to no appearances later on 😔
In Metal fusion when Yu tried to use his sand moves against Kyoya he wasn't able to escape that trap, But in Metal fury when Yu made his New Final Inferno blast against Kyoya he was able to use all his power and survive Yu new move
Strength-wise for Yu: Metal Fury >> Metal Fusion >> Metal Masters. If you were to put the Metal fusions/Fury versions of Yu in metal masters? He’d dominated a major of the characters(Masamune, the twin jewels, and the Garcia’s).
Yu is never stated to have gotten weaker, in fact they often emphasize how much stronger all the characters have gotten, it's really the narrative and plot that brings Yu down.
@@rich355Yu definitely got weaker in the sense that he didnt use moves in metal masters that he used in metal fusion like libras canceling out waves abillty or libras ability to create a sandstorm. Those are all abilities that wouldve helped him a lot in his fights, but he never utilized them

The first of which he couldn't use his moves because Alexi rigged the stadium and the second being against Enzo where Libya was severely damaged and couldn't make use of his abilities.

Yu Tendo is literally my fav character & Libra was my fav beyblade
I believe Yu went from 3rd most OP (Survival battle) to finishing the season as 7th / 8th overall in the season ( behind Gingka Ryuga Kyoya Phoenix Reji Tsubasa & Doji )
Metal masters story arc for Yu was relatively expected as by process of elimination Yu was so OP in the qualifiers, yet got dogged on by Masamune n Tsubasa ( Yes my guy lost like 3 decisive matches just within the first few episodes )
Where I hoped to see more importance was when Yu & Tsubasa goes more 2v2 I wanted to see Yu actually dominate his opponents by just solo-Ing with inferno blast & taking over in small lapses Tsubasa went crazy ( like don’t just be screaming at him to snap out, you’re there to fight n show ur power too )
Only bright side for Yuu in metal fury was Final Inferno Blast & actually being included to fight nemesis, my fav bey n relatable character got dogged on the whole series
Personally looking back at it, Yuu n flame libra has its limit as a character ( as Libra is just a scale and there’s not much constellation animation able to fight), if I could change the story is that I won’t let him get beat down as much, the show literally paced Inferno Blast like a special move every freaking Bey could break through just with sheer power.
Man has the most broken bey counter in beyblade at like 5-6 times man it hurts
Yu is stronger than Doji and Phoenix
@@frankschaefer8890 no way dude Yuu got complacent, Tsubasa easily man handles Yu, while Phoenix doesn’t even need a special move to put out Tsubasa
Doji never faced Yu but Doji darkness howling blazer is not a move everyone can easily defeat
Yu did have a power come back in the 3rd show
I feel like Yu was introduced to us in Fusion as “too strong.” Ngl him beating Gingka off rip should’ve lead to something more down the line but it never did.
Even his bey was great, easily my favorite from Metal Fusion.
yeah but Sora was just a videogame tie-in sadly
sora did become a part of gingka's friend group in the manga, he even fought ryuga at battle bladers and fought along side gingka's friends against rago in the manga
@@prabhjotdhesi4015he said NON LEADER which means people like Benkei, Chi yun, mei Mei, demure, choa xin and the Garcias besides Argo.
@@amari648 oh yeah you're right 😅. Thanks for correcting me
@@prabhjotdhesi4015 it’s all good 👍
@@prabhjotdhesi4015those guys aren’t stronger than Nile. Nope didn’t lose a single battle and won fairly easily
Thanks for making inciteful videos like this one
I personally fantasized if a series in which sora is the main character. Kenta is his mentor and Yu us his rival/freind. Yu is a good sidecharacter . And the antagonists would be hades henchmen but not johannes .
You know they nerfed him when he could end the battle against Benkey and Damur by throwing that green energy move he has… but he didn't use it 🤡
Honestly half of the matches he struggles with are only because he didn't open with inferno blast.
Yu is a great character but the fact is he was never supposed to be a main one and it's a gift we got so much of him instead of kenta .
getting yamcha'd so hard man
He was 5th in Metal fusion after Gingka Ryuga Ryo(Phoenix) Kyoya and Tsubasa. Should have stayed that way or he should have gotten better. Yu lost to Masamune but Masamune felt weaker than him considering all the time Masamune lost later on.
Nah Masamune only lost so much for plot reasons. Masamune is still stronger than Yu and his feats were better than his despite losing a lot.
you forgot reiji and doji, reiji straight up beat Yu in the most 1 sided fight and doji was exactly on par with Ryo, who only won because of sagitario's fragment in the wolf bey, so yeah as much as I love Yu (his bey is my zodiac sign) he was at best 7th
@@Anomaly_Files18 but Pheonix beat Tsubasa
Sora 💔
Yeah, Sora has so much potential with his Cyber Pegasus, it's sad he was never in the main cast and was forgotten just like that from episode 37 by the anime and made little to no appearances later on 😔
@@Fireflies790 :(
He honestly could have been the main character of shogun steel
@@wildfangedits6630 fr
@@Fireflies790 He did kinda become a main part of gingka's squad in the manga
Yeah his character took a backseat
They should've made Yu stronger in Metal Masters
Yu sadly is the original victim of the renji effect
Do you think Kenta, Hyoma and Gingka are also the victims of Reiji
In Metal fusion when Yu tried to use his sand moves against Kyoya he wasn't able to escape that trap, But in Metal fury when Yu made his New Final Inferno blast against Kyoya he was able to use all his power and survive Yu new move
Yu is easily the most screwed over character.
Those are all abilities that wouldve helped him a lot in his fights, but he never utilized them
@@flowtho7742 Well what you got to remember is that most of Yu's battles were team battles and Yu's moves work more for an antagonistic position so using a lot of those moves could endanger his teammate like the sand trap in the battle against Team Wild Fang. Plus we have to remember that Yu only had two sole battles. The first of which he couldn't use his moves because Alexi rigged the stadium and the second being against Enzo where Libya was severely damaged and couldn't make use of his abilities.
Nah you have to talk about Hikaru. She had so much potential man…she definitely had it the worst.
ryuga destroyed her career
I think its because yu never trains
I'm still bitter of how Yu was treated in metal masters. They put him aside in favour of Masamune who was the worst player of that team and lost all of his battles, but one maximum two if I remember correctly.. 🤪
Worst player? Didn’t Masamune defeat Yu in the qualifying tournament?
@@GG-fy2bm Yeah, which made zero sense, cause Yu was a better blader.. Also the qualifying round made no sense at all. Putting the two strongest bladers (Kyoya and Tsubasa) fight each other, so that only one of them can represent the team, and leave the two weakest fight each other for the second position.. And it's not like I'm hating on Masamune, but I feel there were many more interesting and strong characters that could have been used for the second season instead.. 🤔
@@katara1610how was yu a better blader
@@jasonmoukala8909 For starters, Yu had skills. The blader's spirit is fine, so long as it's Gingka the one using it, because it went along with skills as well. Masamune compare to his team was whatever.. He never had a strategy, he was losing his fights and the few times he won, it wasn't cause of his skill, but his blader spirit.. which is disappointing considering that there were so many characters with unique battle styles and they gave Masamune nothing but will.. 😌

Yu should of replaced Kinta
Kenta's arc was elite. At the beginning he didn't even know what blader's spirit was and by the end he had become the truest blader of all, so much so that Ryuga recognized it.
Yu is one of my favorite characters but I disagree. I do think that he should’ve been a legendary blader though, him and Tsubasa
I don't think that Yu Tendo should have replaced Kenta Yumiya, especially since Yu actually liked Kenta.
i disagree. Kenta was in the show since day 1 he deserved his development more than any other character. Especially since Yu was a prominent character in Masters than compared to kenta who did literally nothing
1:44 WRONG! Tetsuya beat Gingka before Ryuga.
Tetsuya cheated. That doesn't count.

I agree with your ranking but you're wrong about a lot of his losses. Gingka beat Yu, but you beat Gingka too so there 1-1. Kyoya by the end of metal fusion probably would have beaten Yu, but he has never actually beaten Yu, in fact Yu actually has a victory over Kyoya. Tsubasa and Yu tied, but Tsubasa was holding back and later on would defeat you in metal Masters. Ryuga and Reji beat Yu with ease.

Agreed with the first 3. However. I'd say Phoneix is stronger then Tsbusa, and arguably Reji.
