The war is over, our heroes survived Ragnarök, and the realms are finally at peace. However, Kratos and Freya have to hunt down one last significant remnant of the fallen Æsir kingdom, the savage Valkyrie Queen, Gná. Once the two gods discover her, they prepare themselves for a brutal fight, knowing Gná will stop at nothing to avenge the All-Father, and see that his destroyers pay for what they’ve done...

Many people don’t notice it but there is a slight difference between all the Valkyrie themes. Not just in the way they’re structured but also which instruments they’re emphasizing as well

Yep Gná absents 2 tracks from Sigrún themes, which is the violin track + flute track. Instead Gná has 1 unique track after the intro.
I'm glad we get to stay with Freya as a sidekick instead of Atreus. I mean, I like the boiii but Freya/Kratos tag-team is on an other level of badass
Especially when she makes her Valkyrie dash before Kratos hit the ennemy... Just epic.

I think canonically Gna is the strongest Valkyrie because Kratos needs Freya's help to beat her. While he beat Sigrun with mininum help from the BOI
Yeah, definitely agree, but I don't think she's stronger than freya
She is either equal to freya as gna is also a vanir goddess with the same mystical knowledge and divine blood or a bit stronger as freya needed kratos to survive

Asgard is so bloody difficult for me
I find it sad that there was not an overarching sidequest when fighting Gna. I literally stumbled on her after the main game and beat her…I was hoping that in order to find her you need to clear all remnants of asgard or something…
The fragments actually lead you to her with the scroll drop hints, but its really direct and just tells you "go to muspelheim lol" like two fragments in
@@supersocksaviour lol I literally found her by accident cause I wanted to grind the crucible trials more so I beat her on gmgow while still level 8. I mean she was hard but the fact that I found her so easily like that was underwhelming af. I mean in the prev game we had to place all 8 valkyrie helms to summon Sigrun. Felt so epic the build up to when she finally showed up.

Sigrun theme had that part as well, it's just slightly remixed here.
You must have a good ear so that you notice the small changes rather added in the instrument but the lyrics remain the same

As a kid...this fight would have just been another boss to kill...
As an adult...this was a battle between former friends...comrades...sisters...Gna and Freya were close before the events of the games...yet due to unfortunate circumstances...the two split off... and Gna forever bearing hatred to her former friend...when i beat this boss... I didn't feel any sort of joy...i felt pity...sorrow... wishing that there was another path we could have chosen to end this...but sadly it was not going to happen...so i am left with a hole in my heart as me and freya walk away from the arena...after delivering the former Valkyrie queen an honorable death...
By the end of the fight, I wanted nothing to do with her. I wasn’t sympathetic in the slightest. Even less sympathetic on NG +
The irony is gna was a vanir goddess just like freya yet she held near total loyalty to odin

FREYA?!?! “Bathe in FIRE!!” “It’s Sigil magic!” I know, SHOOT IT ALREADY!! “Asgard’s blood, are in YOUR HANDS!!” I legit CANNOT reach her in time!! So I get out of the AOE, rushes me, hits me, I’m ded.
Seriously, this boss is no joke harder than any boss, including Odin, the All-Father himself 😅
The amount of times I died because Gna kept changing directions just before her throw attack were brutal
Gna was really easy. I had infinitely more trouble with the Berserker Souls.
Oh yee dude, especially the 3v1 Berserker fight in Alfheim. Fuck that one in particular.
for me it is the other way around, had less issues with Berserkers, but Gna has some sick moves I sometimes fall for. On highest difficulty this is like a dance where you're not allowed to do more than 3 major mistakes and she got much more HP than other bosses.
She's Sigrun's Valkyrie replacement for a reason@@Oneath
@Oneath same. Berserker souls were easy except the king who gave me a lil trouble. Gna gave me more trouble than any of them. Didnt have any trouble with the valkyries except sigrun somewhat in the first one
