Pierre Jeanneret Museum || First House Of Chandigarh || Sector 4 and 5 Chandigarh

Today i visited sector 4 and 5 in Chandigarh. In sector 4, i found big VIP's bungalows of all over the sector. And in sector 5, there was also big bungalows but along with that i found a hidden beauty in the form of museum which is dedicated to the architect (Pierre Jeanneret) of Chandigarh. It is also known as the first house of Chandigarh and architect himself lived in this house for more than 12 years, while building our city beautiful. Everyone should visit this hidden beauty in sector 5 Chandigarh at least once.

I lived in house no 55 sector 5a , the house next door for 30 years , both my parents were IAS officer haryana cadre ..., this house was not a museum before .. , it was lived by various IAS officers , KK sharma etc..

@@pankajpelodiavlogs1873 : You are welcome, i believe the museum was inaugurated by Governor Badnore , he is a 1956 alumni of my school Mayo College ,ajmer rajasthan, his son avijit badnore , is my batch mate from the same school in rajasthan , the houses here are quite famous , the one in front use to belong to the chief secretary punjab , opposite to our lane, and in peak punjab militancy had a police tent and post , two houses left to our house no. 55 had very heavy security and was the house of IG Chandigarh and was occupied by a famous lady IPS officer KIran bedi .., .., there is another house as we go along this road to the entrance to Sukhna lake , it faces the lake opposite the governor house and belonged to the love/ female companion of the famous hotilier "Oberoi" , the museum you visited has a front facing balcony , it use to be covered and made into a room,
a daughter of an IAS officer commiteed suicide ...
