How I Color My Sketches

In this video I show how I color my pencil sketches. I am usually pretty messy with my pencil sketches because the intent is almost always to scan, ink, and color them digitally. The coloring process starts out as being an exercise in trial and error. However, once i have some color and shapes established, I color the rest of the sketch by repeating the same themes throughout the image. In this painting you can see a circular theme, painterly stroke theme, and a radial theme that I repeated in various places.
