    Just love that 40 lb air impact torque wrench!

    Just installed this same suspension upgrade today. Having never done this before, took about 6.5 hours from when I began lifting my coach, to when I torqued the last lug nut after I put my coach back on the ground. Key is working your jacks under the axles to get the springs lined up to install the new wet bolts. And the serrated wet bolts, be ready to give'em hell to get in.

    Very important item you forgot is --- locate the grease opening to the 9 and 3 o'clock position. I have not been able to grease one side of mine because what your rep said at an rv show it was installed wrong at the 12 o'clock position.

    At 2:16 instructions are to put the zerks to the inside but at 0:05, the picture has them on the outside.

      If the zerks can be accessed from the outside, with the wheels on, I would install them on the outside too. Makes it easier for greasing them.

    The wet bolts must be pounded in so the splines are seated. This information is in the online instructions, but not in the directions I received with my kit. The online instructions also say tighten to 40 ft/lbs. The instructions I received said 50 ft/lbs.

    • @morrydeinc
      @morrydeinc  2 года назад

      Hello! The nuts should be tighten to 40 ft-lbs. Depending on the kit, it may not have included the most updated instructions as the dealer/distributor could’ve had the kit for a while.

      @@morrydeinc Are the nuts supposed to be treated with Blue Loctite during installation?

    • @adamgermond8483
      @adamgermond8483 2 года назад +1

      Re-looking at the video, I can see all that blue stuff on the bolt threads is grease. That can change the torque value and should not be done. Maybe the video should be re-shot showing how the bolts are driven in (hammer and socket is one way) and the nuts are installed cleanly (no grease on threads).

      Our shop uses an air chisel to remove the old bushings, but this is not a required tool to complete the installation of the CRE and the wet bolt kit. I have attached a link to download the installation instructions for your reference: www.morryde.com/products/heavy-duty-shackle-kit/. Thanks for your question! The CRE3000 will only lift the trailer if the equalizer that is currently on the unit is shorter than the CRE3000. If the equalizer is taller than the CRE3000, then our product will lower it.

    • @morrydeinc
      @morrydeinc  4 года назад +2

      The CRE3000 typically does not raise the trailer height at all.The SRE4000 on average raises the trailer by 3/4" to 1". Sometimes less and sometimes more depending on the set up of your trailer.
