I know there are WL haters out there. But this scene was the scene that made me go: "Listen - she's a trope. It's obvious. But I'm going to get this Queen on the throne damnit if it's the last thing I do. That's my story this time. Not to save the world, but to help those who are choosing to serve and care for the world I saved with compassion, kindness, and love. Sure the character is a lttle over done. But we do need more people like her who are wiling to sefllessly serve and protect others." And even if you hated her character - you can't not feel that a bit too and wanted to see her come through to the end on top. DT is not just our story to save the world this time. It's the story of the worlds we saved and honoring the ones we couldn't save. Validating why we are who we are and why the pain and feels we have along the way are always worth it.
@@alzris5240 As much as I don't like to say this - some people don't like not being the main characters in the story. While the English Dub does leave a bit to be desired in terms of tone (some things are hard to translate across cultures I get it.) - the point is still clear - it's not about us here. And for many people - who have spent years with their characters - it's not a vibe they can roll with. I honor those who don't like it because I see where they are coming from. Understanding is the first step to acceptance. As the story says.
@@ladyopheliagames Not just that but the other big complaint a lot of players had is how much screentime she had and how shoehorned she was into quite a few scenes.
i love ffxiv community but there are too much persons out there they love characters who u can "fix" like emet or zenos but characters with a kind heart are mostly hated and i love the fact that we were the mentor for Wuk Lamat and i loved every moment with her but i know that a lot people want to be the main character ... but main characters can also act from the background ... and from lore we are not the WoL anymore ... we are descendants of Azem ... the adventurer who wants to explore and help people
God u people are so dumb, if u wanted to watch someone story then go watch a movie, u people eat up everything this game throw at u, there is huge problems with this expansion story but u guys just eat up everything!! Dude do u know this game is supposed to be an rpg, the reason people are upset because the game doesn't give ur character a role in the story, don't give me the whole mentor crap, u r not even a mentor u don't act like a mentor she is just a Mary sue, look at the problem ahead guys and stop eating up everything the devs trying to do, they fucked up hard this expansion, and instead of criticize them to actually give us an RPG story next time, you guys applause them for making another character the main character and turning the msq into a movie, I swear CBU3 are so obsessed of creating a movie inside a game then creating an rpg story they did the same with ff16 and now they did with ff14 dawntrail, the player character need to act like a player character in the story I need to feel like I made a difference in the world, that why previous expansions were so good not because we are the focus but because we actually doing stuff no one else can and makes us feel like we are making a difference in this world, while this expansion it feels like I am just there and watching the game played itself that not fun for a role playing game I don't feel like I have a role in the story, that's a huge problem and they need to fix, and I am glad this expansion got mixed reviews and wuk lamat deserve all the hate, cuz this should be a wake up call for the devs who are too comfortable making the same stuff and went too far with it this expansion, they deserve all of that for giving us a movie instead of an rpg story, people have every right to be upset about there character not having a role, I don't mind not having a focus but at least give me a role in the story, don't give me the whole mentor crap that doesn't exist u just created that in ur head, there is nothing in the game makes me feel that way except once in the entire 30 hours story, the rest of the dialogue is all just there to glorify this character, it like they took control of my warrior of light to praise a character that they don't know if it gonna be loved but they Force u to love her, cuz they probably know there audience just eat up everything they do, but glad people didn't and glad she become so unpopular.
As someone who has a troubled history with my father Gulool Ja’s moment with Zoraal Ja after the fight got me. “You ask a lost man for the way” You just needed to be there.
I have a extremely soft spot for grandma characters. And I have a huge lingering regret of not being there for my grandma during her final hour. So of course the Namikka and Lamaty'i scene hits the hardest for me. If given the chance like our adventurer, I would love to speak with our lost ones just one more time.
Pretty sure In Serenity and Sorrow may just rank among my top emotional moments in the entirety of this game. It was so personally powerful for me and even just hearing the song is enough for basically the whole of the cutscene to replay in my head and get my eyes watering all over again.
I've been looking for this song but didn't know the title, it's such a good song and always plays at the moments where the game pulls at your heart strings, truly a beautiful piece
I feel like Wuk Lamat is a redo for Stormblood Lyse's character, at least her 4.0 character type, post 4.0 Lyse is written more in line with her long experience as a Scion, whilst 4.0 Lyse felt like a forced full restart of an already pretty established character. I think my issues with Wuk Lamat as for now, I'm still at the level 94 quests, is how nebulous her plan of action is. It's good that her ideals are set, but I'm hoping the 94-95 quests expand more on what she plans to do as Dawnservant.

It shocked me when i found out people hate Wuk Lamat. The same with Lyse. Maybe because i played in japanese dub?

One last sightseeing tour...

the post final trial cutscene with this song got me EMOTIONAL. I have been searching for the OST for a few days now, thank you so much for the upload.

Same. I miss my grandfather something fierce when I think about all the things I left unsaid.
@@bewitchedriddle same here. I’m not even sure if there’d be enough time in eternity to tell him all the things I wanted to say.

i think this is my favorite event theme
How not crying when listening to this ? 🥺
Farewell... my beloved Alexandria....
Man, imagine hating a character because they **gasp** have a heart.
I don't mind she has a heart. I just wish she would shut up about it
Because woman, right?
Don't worry, I saw your favorites, I hear ya! :)

Reminds me of Cid's theme. I love how hopeful and earnest they both sound, as if working to create a better tomorrow.
One of the most beautiful track in DT and even in all FFXIV and oh boy the OST already has a lot since 2010 lol
The choir is so good in this song
I've been looking forward to this song.
Wuk Lamat :3
Such feels😭
Absolute proof that 70% of the feels comes from Soken critical hits
FYI this track's official title is "Fond Farewells".
Does anyone know what the track is called?
這是淑芬的歌...🥲
