Steve Vai is absolutely amazing. I’ve never owned a Jem but Steve has been a huge influence on me musically. I’ll never be able to play like him but have learned so much him over the years.
Cant believe i returned that RG a couple yrs back. I took it back because.... Idk, 🤷♂️! Post purchase disonance did a number on me! So i took it back...and got that SG instead... you see it, up there in my icon picture, the ☝️blue 'un. Yeah, it's hard to regret getting that Gibson... especially that run... it's killer, but still...I miss that RG ALL THE TIME!! 🙆♂️ And truth is....i dont play that SG too often. I like playing suoerstrats, 90% of the time. It had been such a beauty, too...quilted top...inlaid 5 pieces of fancy woods running between the book matched sides... An epic blue burst...AND a green burst inside that - and lord knows my favourite colours are blue/green contrasting against each other. And then, a Les Paul yellow centre.. Chrome Edge 2 Pro. Tele knobs. HSH. 11 piece neck, just jaw dropping to look at, wenge grain all over the finger board! 😱 I love a wizard neck, and that black/purpleheart/maple/walnut/wenge neck was like cool, smooth teflon. Bah! I'm an idjit! I'd gotten an unheard of 25% off, too...just before all those damn inflation price hikes since COVID. The same kinda model would cost me now, nearly double. Just 2 and years later. 😱 Daaaaaayuum!!! → i will get another though. I've been putting away for it. I'm nearly 1/3 of the way there. Ill get there ..

日本の職人技、物作りの歴史、日本の松本に世界に誇れるフジゲンと言う会社が本当に有って良がったと思う。
世界の音楽史とギター史に大きな足跡を残す事が出来た事は素晴らしい。
冗談抜きでJEMは数あるシグニチャーモデルの中で一番作りが頑丈でかっちりしている。
私も友人の父が持っているのを触らせて貰ったことがありますが格が違いましたね。
おそらく1番最初のシグネチャーモデルだと思います。
10年以上メンテしてなくて放置してた見たいですけど汚れ以外の、プレイにあたっての問題が一切無かったんですよね

Unity Enterprise Worship Demos on Guitar and me too i actually i have a chinese copy but when i m play i feel like Vai ( smiles) .
A regular Ibanez RG will be pretty close. Maybe even better, because you can pick one that has a tone that suits you more than the Jem would.
