Today, May 10, 2022, I’m watching Houses washed into the Atlantic in your area. It took hours for me to find your video. Thank you so much! You answered some of my questions about the history of this. BRAVO !!
2020 now. This house is still there, still abandoned. But one of the other houses is still there and with the beach replenishment they were able to rebuild the septic system and reoccupy it. It's listed now as a weekly rental. The beach is now much wider, for now at least.
I’m from Toronto Canada. Traveled there a few times love it. Last time I went the beach was like a football field from the house I was at to the water. They really extended it. Haven’t been since before covid. Last time I went this house had a huge almost small lake under it. Impossible to get into. Is the water still there?? Or they fill it up? I’m pretty sure those broken stairs I used to get into the house a few years ago lol
@RMW And you’re foolish enough to think that it’s going to last?? Go out there and take a look…it’s now May 10, 2022. And how many billions of dollars did it take to replenish land that the sea is going to wash away, again?!
Totally agree with you. I just think why the government approve development for private homes in outer banks. I believe all those area are better for wildlife.
Most of those houses are "time share" and been payed off years ago, the owners of the property careless if it is lost, they just rebuild, and "time share" the house again.
He CAN'T sell it! I mean, who's gonna buy that situation? Referencing 1:26 "The Owner is determined to not sell because the land will come back. Ha! screw the rich guy who wanted a beach house to make money of off.
Querem as casas na praia feitas na areia onde pertence ao mar ?😝 já sabem que mais cedo ou mais tarde ficam sem elas, com o mar não se brinca, O mar vai buscar aquilo que lhe pertence, isto é uma lição .😂

Saw a comment from 2020. It's 2022 now. 2 houses were washed away this week In Rodanthe.
And now it's August of 2024 and last week another one gone! I was there just after it happened.

I've lived there. The OBX will soon be memory. Mother nature is taking it back. People there need to open their eyes
100s of years the Outer Banks beats away at houses...but people seem to think they can control the weather.😒

Good! let's get those off the banks and make a RV park, and when it gets rough, pull out!

On point from WBUR is great!
Beautiful, such elegance.
pray this belongs to a politician or banker
Where's the full video! Please😁
No house should be built on the beach sand is not good to build a house on.
When I say I want my house ocean front I mean in the ocean front.
The land will come back but probably will take 100 years or more.
Houses should never be built along the ocean like this..shorelines have and will continue to change..your fault if you put yourself in the way
The land is gone, yes. 😢
Watch Nagshead peaceful paradise.
Probably not going to survive Florence. Oh well I’m sure this place made a lot of people happy throughout its life.
Time to get out of Dodge!

lol, you must not actually live in Ohio. I don't know anyone there who raves about how great it is. Left 25 years ago, best decision ever.
