    Fred misinformed is audience, is far better than "soory, I lied". The information was correct as at the time he said it
    But he has since realised that it was incorrect.
    I have followed his video for more than three years. And I find all his literature on goats and other livestock very educative. Also I have purchased Bracheria seeds from Semenshia farms two years ago which was planted in my farm in Ota, Nigeria.
    Carry on fred, you are a good educationist in livestock

    Hello Farming in Africa
    My question is how did you prepare the soil prior to your first planting? And how have you been able to keep the local weeds from coming back to compete with the bravhiaria grass that you planted.
    Did you use the traditional slash and burn?
    Did you nursery the grass and transplanted them?
    I have more questions.
    Thanks for posting this information.

    • @FarmingInAfricaOfficial

    Hi Fred, am confused here, according to the caption of your video, it is stated as Semanhyia grass, but you talked about Brachiaria grass through out your presentation of the video. My question is, are they the same grass is just different in names.

    Please let’s not forget that one may also need to fertilize the soil over time because it’s sucking nutrients out of the soil. So you have to feed it something back in return

    What of bracheria movano from Brazil

    • @onebridge7231
      @onebridge7231 2 года назад

      If you research, all Bracheria Grasses originated from East Africa (i.e. Kenya) and were imported to Brazil in the early 19th century. The grass is making its way back to West Africa in the late 1960’s early 1970’s.

      We have put 5 bigger and 13 smaller water harvesting trenches (swales) on our land, which run along contour lines. Together with the 7 ponds we dug, we can catch up to 3 million liters of water that would normally run off and not help on our land.
