my twin brother sent me this song, saying it reminded him of me & everything we have gone through. his love language has always been music so i’ve been known to listen to everything he shows me with a sort of delicacy, & can honestly say no lyrics have hit me as deep as these did. truth is, we grew up too fast, fought our own battles & hated to see each other hurt. & because of this, we found it easier to distance from each other & forgot that we were born to be a team. we spent 3 long years exchanging few words & absolutely no emotion with each other. yet in the moment i needed him most, when my world felt as though there was no possible way a tomorrow could be waiting for me, i ran to him, into his arms, & have never known a peace so comforting in my entire life & probably never will. we’re adults now, & have been attached at the hip again ever since. this song was the first he sent to me after the time we spent apart. it’s beautiful, thank you for sharing.
