Fantastic video! Although the search functionality is not working, it doesnt return files looking for their file name, but I can navigate to them and they are there, any idea why is this happening?
Thank you for your appreciations. SharePoint search has issues in general. If you're experiencing issues with the search function, try using complete words. Sometimes the system has trouble with partial searches.
Great vid. We got all the way to around 9:07. But when we click Upload then pick SharePoint (under Connected sources), it says "This folder is empty. When files are added to it, you'll see them here." If we try searching, it says "Can't complete search. Search can't run because of an error, or search isn't supported for this source." Any ideas how to fix? Seems we are so close to having this working. Thanks
Disregard - not sure what changed but it started working just now. I did hit Grant Consent in the Azure app registration, maybe that was what did the trick? Or just needed more time to process. Either way this worked. Fantastic video
Thanks for the great video! When a new file is created in SharePoint is it automatically available in Salesforce for apex program to process it? In other words, if new files are available are they available in Salesforce without user intervention.
Hello, thank you for your response. It is not automatically available in Salesforce. For this, you can use a paid solution like CloudFiles. If you are interested, you can book a demo with us at meet.cloudfiles.io/salesforce and we will help you to get started with your use case
Sorry, I complimented how things worked before I actually tried to attach the file to my customer account. Navigating to the file works as expected. When I click attach I get this odd error message. Any idea why I am getting this "The action you performed was invalid for your session. Please refresh your page and try again". Refreshing the page does not clear this error.
This video was great. I want to replicate this same process using OneDrive. I assume everything will be the same except for secrets, tokens, etc... Can you share a link or pointer to your video that explains this for OneDrive?
Thank you so much for the video. I have a query. How to control file access. e.g- i have 2 groups. 1 group stores files in a folder on SP and other group usage different folder. I want to show them only the files either based on their SP access or some other logic may be ?
We can help you to solve this problem using CloudFiles since native Files connect doesn't provide folder organization. Please reach out to us at support@cloudfiles.io to schedule a call and discuss this further.
Can you use the same process to export a report on a schedule to SharePoint or One Drive? I need people not in Salesforce to be able to see a report list of existing accounts. I already created the report and put it on a schedule. It is just that so many new people keep asking for it, it has become burdensome. I would rather have a list they can go look at in SharePoint or One Drive that just gets updated weekly by my report. Will file connect work for that as well?
Hello, thank you for reaching out! Files connect doesn't provide capability to upload files to sharepoint, and doesn't provide any automated way of working with it either. They can use CloudFiles for this. They would need to setup the report to be emailed to a specific email address, which we will configure in Salesforce. CloudFiles will pick the attachments from such emails and move them to sharepoint. You can reach out to us at - support@cloudfiles.io to discuss this further. Alternatively, you can book a demo with us at - meet.cloudfiles.io/salesforce
Hello, Thanks for steps..I did try , but it is getting OAuth token expired when I validate and sync. Can you please help why it is getting this error? , currently it is authenticated successfully
@@cloudfilesapp I'm having this exact same issue. I have disconnected and re-connected several times and still having the same message. Appreciate your time.
This guide was very helpful, but when I validate and sync, sharepoint informs me that I have ran into an "unknown error" do you have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
Hi, this could be configuration issue. Salesforce error messages are not very helpful unfortunately. We will love to go through your configuration and help you with it. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@cloudfiles.io to schedule a call.
Hi, Although Files Connect doesn't currently support direct integration between Salesforce and Azure Blob storage, you can establish this connection seamlessly through CloudFiles. Our team is ready to assist you in setting it up. Please reach out to us at support@cloudfiles.io to schedule a call and discuss this further.
Thank you for your clear, comprehensive and helpful video!
