  • Believing God and believing in God may sound similar, but they actually convey different concepts and have distinct implications for our faith journey. Believing God refers to having trust and confidence in His character, promises, and actions. It involves acknowledging that He is faithful, sovereign, and capable of fulfilling His word. On the other hand, believing in God encompasses a broader perspective that includes accepting His existence, acknowledging His divine nature, and possibly placing some faith in Him. While both aspects are essential, believing in God is not enough to be saved from our sins. Even the demons believe in God (James 2:19), but they are not saved. Moses (Numbers 20:12) certainly “believed in God,” but on this occasion the Bible says he did not “believe God.”
