What makes this game so good is that every character has outright solo carry potential - I haven’t really seen any “DAY 1 META TIER LIST OMG” vids flooding my feed because every character is super strong.
I feel like luna snow and Wolverine were tuned a little much or more specifically Wolverine, it’s so much fun 1v1ing them as Cap. But like DAMN bro Wolverine is nuts😭
I think I might be a Moon Knight Main. Not only do I like the character, but melting crowds with the infinite hit markers and fucking people up around corners by using the ankhs is way too satisfying. They just need to add a subtle change to the reticle when you are looking at a surface you can grapple.
The game feels great to play! It reminds me of old Overwatch times when heroes used to feel unique, distinct, and kits felt powerful. I hope they keep their philosophy of every crew in Marvel Rivals feeling strong. Hope this game will thrive in the long runs so that competitions exist for Overwatch. Competition is good to have! I definitely see myself cycling between those two games.
Yes it's fun but man the aim is so hard to get used to coming straight from ow, cloak and dagger I think is my all time favorite so far how I can heal and dps at the same time

Every characters are viable but they're not all equally strong, as people get better some characters will begin to dominate more than other There is no way to balance an hero shooter before release
@@ni9274 Because people still have anxiety of playing tanks and healers from OW. There's no way to fix people's mindset of just wanting to have no other responsibility other than dealing damage. They're horrified at the idea of pressing one or two extra buttons to help their team rather than kill the enemy cause they don't want to get blamed for failing, even though characters like Jeff, Luna, Cloak, and Rocket can still easily deal damage while healing the team. Jeff is my main cause shark puppy and I've constantly been getting mvp with some of the highest elims and team assists in the match. Supports are just as capable of filling the enemy with bullets as they are with filling their team with life. All it takes is for people to shake that stigma they've built up from OW.

@@ni9274 I was a support main for the entire of my 4 years on overwatch and I have to say, the support heroes in this game feel so much better, obviously the balance isn’t all there but the play styles are all so varied and have so much carry potential. Cloak and dagger alone is more interesting than pretty much anything overwatch has put out for supports in years
Played it as soon as I could last night and played till about midnight. I'm leaning towards Strategist/Duelist but mainly Strategist, and I am absolutely loving Cloak and Dagger. Personally I'm very fond of the character already from the comics but man playing them is so much fun
Played 1st game earlier, and biggest learning curve for me is time to kill lol. Im so used to dieing instantly if i get out of position that i didnt play aggressive enough. Trade off tho is that hitboxes are a lot less forgiving than overwatch. Flats missing shots at 2:10 wasn't a joke lol if you're off by a pixel shot will miss.
Loving playin Loki and Thor (Asgard representin!) I hate how Widows rifle sounds like someone snapping their fingers after every shot. Could really use a cool bolt action sound effect instead.
Personally I don’t find Black Widow’s sound effect annoying in the slightest, just some kind of a generic sound effect, but it definitely feels a quite unfitting for her gun.
1:27 i find this awesome as a comic fan cause the other two spider-men are most likely the clones Ben and Caine, since the right costume is Chasm, which makes me think the left one might be Caine, but thats just head cannon
As someone who has put thousands of hours into OW since season 3, I was highly skeptical about Rivals. Boy was I wrong. It’s awesome. It has its similarities to OW but it’s original enough and above all; it’s more fun to play. Try it out!
I need Quicksilver to be added as a strategist. That way you have all three members of the family, each in a different role. Obviously he'd be based around quickly moving people around the map like he does in the X-men movies.
The game is very very fun. I pulled an all nighter playing it and I haven’t done of those for a video game in quite some time. My only issue with marvel rivals is that currently, it has quite a few of the same balance issues that overwatch has. But those can be easily fixed. Also 6v6 feels way better, I love the extra chaos of two more players.
personal opinion here. This game and its hero abilties seem much more complicated then overwatch, wouldve been nice if we started with a much smaller hero pool and they rolled out a new hero every week or something
Agreed they don't seem to care about going too complicated on some kits and honestly it works really well plus some seem deceptively simple but have a lot more depth than you'd think which honestly is a very fun surprise when I try out new characters

A lot of the ranged heros are really good but that's mainly cuz some defensive abilities are just insane like iron fist literally getting I frames and a heal so you can tank any amount of damage thrown at you then you can just slaughter the guy who just tried to fight back
No cross progression is wild. I know they said they’re going to add it at some point. But with a game that has battle passes and cosmetics it’s kind of crazy. My friend base is split between pc and console. Will defo not be buying any battle passes etc. until it’s added!

They're not that bad you just gotta spend a minute fine tuning it to you I spent like 15 minutes in the training range just adjusting settings and once you get it right it genuinely is pretty good

This is naive. This just means the sweats haven’t optimized the game yet. Still way too early. Rivals is bound to have a OW goats season

Lol yeah ironically that's one of my only issues with this game is Widow's sniper load sound 😂 such a tiny detail but omg the sound is SO annoying!
