As a foreign Minister of German your international exposure in reflecting your thinking and policies of substantial issues of international concerns are really an excellent thought. The September of this year UNIGA presentation can be taken as very good example as it was obsessed in aversion of what you called "" US AGAINST THEM " to show your share of responsibility in the search for Global peace and security Your excellency I really appreciate your responsible acting manner in international arena.
It's absolutely the right thing to say, the gas producing countries are behaving in the most gut wrenching ways and history will label them as criminals against humanity. On the other hand it's so refreshing to hear such a clear-cut statement from a politician!
It was the cleanest source of fossil fuel while the country was kick starting the transition to green energy. Not as fast as her Green party wanted it to be (and as history has validated her) but we got it going.
Part of German-Russian energy policy was also based in hopeful goals of peace through economic cooperation after the end of the cold war. The EU itself is proof of conflict reduction through economic integration. Germany additionally has a unique role as a bridge between both sides of the former cold war divide because it was itself split and unified.
I guess we're only addressing fossil fuels then...? Dont seem to hear a lot about the rich/poor dynamic when it comes to countries ravaging our oceans w/ millions of tons of plastic waste 🤷♂️
Countries of the world need to stop and listen to what our EU leader Germany says. We in the EU will set the rules for the rest of the world so you had better pay attention now!
So standing for the global south is "set the rules"? That's ~50% of global population what we are talking about, and you saying some rich countries should decide about the future of 50% of all people?
@@N4iiiis Don't try to dance around the facts! We will regulate the USA and keep that and any other countrys from becoming too independant of our rules. You got no chance but obey climate rules.
And the "underdeveloped" countries politicians should not get rich by stealing from their own citizens. The world through our history was never fair to the majority, but once we have the idea that humans are capable of existing on a more empathetic level, all should strive for more sane policies.
This is probably the truest sentence in our times, way beyond the issue of climate change, but in general if we look at geopolitics.
Thank you minister for speaking truth to power.
Thank you for standing on the right side of history, Minister.

Very good. I'm from India. Let the government fix the emissions.
She is a good foreign minister with humanistic scientific values.
This is going to be stressful
What exactly is she referring to that would hurt small states?
What a joke, she says this while pledging pennies
And yet your country was receiving cheap energy from a fossil fuel state that your complex industry enjoyed until it got kaboom😂.
I wouldn’t say “ your country”. The dependency on oil doesn’t come from the people. It comes forced by legalities imposed by the class in power.
The conclusion should be … what is the people going to do about it? The answer should be the conscientious empathic one.

Hipocrily, actually all European politicians are corrupted.... The government is an obsolete part of the modern society structure .
