@@Rikarikun Actually, according to the creator, Vanripper. Both endings will lead to the Examtaker timeline as so much time has passed that the original Helltaker became irrelevant. So Examtaker is canon either way. That being said, there's still 50% chance that the original Helltaker could still be in the abyss, though I doubt Vanripper will reuse him for any sequels.
As you said, Helltaker is probably still stuck in the abyss with Bellzebub, or, he could have been "reincarnated" into that demon like the game suggest. But sadly he doesn't have any of his memories, for now at least.

Also, yes, it is confirmed to be the Abyss timeline so nothing to speculate on that. As that loremaster is Azazel she probably could have used Helltacker as the human part in the experiment and in that way make a sort of clone of him but also with demon blood or something. He is big like Helltaker. The demon girls do also take a liking to him. Like they did to Helltaker.
