It’s got nothing to do with where the drop is snipped it’s that it isn’t anywhere near hot enough and needs to be as hot as he can physically get it before it falls so rotating it stops it from falling too early. So if you’re a professional glass blower, and glass is clear, and something that’s clear could be called invisible, and something invisible isn’t there since it can’t be perceived, you’re now technically a professional blower.
btw theorethically blue fire is way hotter than normal fire so i suppose he downgraded his torch... and he probably noticed it was slower at melting the glass but didn't say it for the content.

All you guys telling him to snip the very end must not have seen a real Prince Rupert’s Drop. If formed correctly, they will shatter when enough pressure is applied ANYWHERE on the tail. It doesn’t have to be the very end.
I know how, dont melt it from the bottom, it makes the drop a little long and i think which is causing it to not break when the tail is destroyed. Instead melt it from the side not to high up and i think you will get a genuine prince rubert drop.

Glasses melting point is kinda a grey area. Instead of melting the drop fully you only partially melted it. Also known as slumping it.

It looks like you're using a glass tube to make it. Air is getting trapped inside. You need to melt solid glass for it to work
