- Back in the terror filled ice oceans of Europa, a valiant coalition combat crew and their decades old subnautical war machine descend into the territory of lurking abyssal horrors only for their slightly crazed medical team to begin loading their single railgun with questionable materials to vanquish the foe.

Editing this video while playing that new Lovecraftian fishing game Dredge really put me into the headspace of aquatic terror for which I don’t really know if I’m a fan of. Also Baro 1.0 is of course some wild fun, may make a part 2 out of our continued campaign run at some point. Wild to see this game not get any less entertaining even from it’s days when it was a free demo game.
Oh right! I forgot ya'll played, too~ Such a good game, though I have yet to actually reach the end
You should do a "war of the worlds" video.
Please make more. We bow down to our true meme king
Do you stream These anywhere or something? Would be interesting to see.
Didn't know that it was a demo it looked like a finished game
The bloodcurdling/glitchy screaming from unseen rooms will never cease to be my favorite part of these videos.

This is absolutely one of the biggest reasons I love this man's barotrauma series
Add in barotraumatic and people get really freaked.
It sounds like actual voice lines sometimes
The voice chat in this game is a masterpiece for this exact reason
I love how Barotrauma is supposed to be a grim, intense game with eldritch horrors beyond comprehension that commands seriousness and teamwork, and yet it instead ends up just being the ultimate source of all unhinged virtual human behavior, but also with eldritch horrors beyond comprehension.
and it ends up like on every channel. It's like the game is an SCP that makes every crew Ignis
Would you, as you are now, decide to travel into a place inhabited with monsters out of a Cthulhu mythos story?
@@lordadorable1140 Yes.
That's the beauty of a game that takes inspiration from SS13
@@voidstrider801
Then according to spacenoid law, I hereby declare you a moron
“In terms of heals, we have none. They were loaded into the railgun.”
4:17 "its high on meth" you can never be too high on meth, appreciate your chaotically wholesome vibe
You are everywhere
I mean, you should know a lot about that Heisenberg.
My heart stopped when you guys found the William D. Porter. That ship is the most cursed ship ever launched.
It seems rather fitting with how many mistakes the real crew made
IF WE HAD THE WILLIAM D. PORTER WE WOULD HAVE WON WW2
11:16 "Hey! Who turned out the lights?!"
I believe that there may be a library in Ignis Corps' future...
When i heard that, i felt like the food critic in ratatouille.
It was npc
I got that reference
Never watched doctor who, so my brain immediately went to aliens and the games when someone says "hey, who turned out the lights?" Then pretty much immediately gets mauled by a xenomorph
*Immediately downloads playable robot mods to stay safe from the flesh-eating shadows that are about to eat the crew and puppet their diving suits*
It's always funny to watch Jay and friends get torn apart by unearthly beings beyond comprehension
Or even better, they tear each other apart using unearthly methods beyond comprehension
On meth
Unearthly as in neither the planet nor the land. Doubly appropriate
Hearing meth filled railgun just makes me remember carrying around multiple stacks of some sort of oxygen syringe for my syringe gun and using it to pop enemies of the deep and use as a grenade launcher 😂
Oh, liquid oxygenite? Bruh. Why not just potassium crates?
@LeadOnTaste because don't think I can load those into a syringe gun and oxygen kinda just makes em go pop
@@berzerkinggodzilla2511 I mean, if it works, then it works, right?

Putting the trauma in Barotrauma.
The reference at 11:05, the "Hey, who turned out the lights?", Doctor Who, series 4 episodes 8 and 9 (Silence In The Library and Forest Of The Dead). As a 7 year old, that was one of the most terrifying Doctor Who stories I'd seen (Weeping Angels were worse though). Every shadow was possibly alive, occupied by a creature called a Vashta Nerada, that you couldn't see except for their shadow, and they were hungry for fresh meat. They could strip the meat off a man in a split second. The most terrifying but is what happened next: being the far future, a flash copy of the mind of the victim is stored on a little chip on the collar of their spacesuit, giving a few seconds for their last words in the event of sudden death, before the copy decayed and died. The Vashta Nerada were able to use that little chip to talk, and they could physically move the spacesuit after killing the occupant. So, those two episodes had a lot of The Doctor and his companions being chased by the skeletons of recently dead characters inside their spacesuits, one repeating one of the final words of that character after he died but before his consciousness on that chip decayed, "Hey, who turned out the lights?"
Thank you, Jay, for reminding me of that traumatic experience that 7 year old me had watching that Doctor Who story.
i can safely say the "HES NOT REEEAALLL" at 10:13 made me silently cackle to myself at nearly 4 in the morning
4:22 can we talk about how seemless that was? props to editing skills there.
You and your rapscallions at Ignis are what got me into this game in the first place.
700+ hours later and i never thought i'd see the day you return!
Firing meth rounds is the same things as:
*-80 Health*
*+25% Resistance*
Sam O'nella made a perfect video explaining why the USS William D. Porter is the perfect ship for this crew.
Someone's definitely gotta make a mod now that applies drug effects when you load them into shells, the trick is it takes the same amount to say knock out an enemy with morphine shells as it does a human, so if you want to knock out a latcher you gotta unload a lot of morphine into it. *Science team RP where you're knocking out and capturing abyssal terrors*
That actually sounds like a cool idea!
Ahh yes I love watching Jay giving out drugs to fish
I love the just unbound chaos that occurs in these Barotrauma sessions...
And let's be honest guys, the bar is set quite high already. 😅
Rubix and Company back at it again in Barotrauma. Yup, this is going to be a good video.
But this time with meth
raptor the goat
Ra-goat
rap-goat
that part where the guy beats up NPC with a welder, then another guy shoots him with a shotgun in the head after saying " HE'S NOT REAL!", then blows the body up with a grenade and the addition of Raptor saying " We've killed enough! There's enough air in the sub!" is probably the most insane thing ive ever seen in a barotrauma video.
want to know something intriguing. If you turn a handheld sonar on and shove it into a railgun shell it will make the monsters go after it. This also works on non decoy depth charges
"The only thing worse than fighting an abyssal monstrosity, is fighting an abyssal monstrosity on Meth."
There's a quote of at least the week.
"hey guys... lets give the abyssal horror some M e T H"
-RubixRaptor 2023
I really appreciate your commitment to playing the Fire Force OP every single time that fire is on-screen.
0:56 approaching death
1:16 woah look an eldritch horror
3:10 Der Flammenwerfer sehnt sich nach einer Verbrennung
5:54 your honor, freebird was playing
5:59 thats one less loose end
7:30 alcoholism
Fun fact launching medical syringes out of a rail gun use to crash not only the server you are in but also everyone’s game who was in that server, so in short: they nerfed shooting eldritch beasts with what ever chemical the medic pulled out of his
His what?
4:24 was amazingly smooth as a transition and that deserves attention! That was awesome and funny!
This whole video was gold, but "Chemistry has been set in motion which cannot be stopped." is a terrifying sentence in any situation, much less in a Pringles can at the bottom of Lovecraft's ocean.
Giant abyssal horror attacks submarine
Rubix: "So what if we made it into a Floridian giant abyssal horror?"
Crew: "Sure"
Reminder for any aspiring Baro players out there. The Camel (Tier 1 Transport) has VERY LITTLE FLOOD DEFENSE. All it takes is one good breach to command and shit’s fucked. But if you got the manpower for it by god can it take a beating and haul a ton of supplies.
39 SECONDS 39 SECONDS AND THIS IS ALREADY RECOMMENDED TO ME
Because the app knows what you want
Jay and his crew always managing to fight edlritch horrors on a daily basis with the less efficiency than the SCP Foundation 😂
This reminds me of that story of the Shadow Runner team that killed a radioactive mutant dragon by coking it out on enough combat stims to make it's heart explode.
One time our Medical Officer, Dr. Collin Oscopy, shot a thresher with a syringe gun loaded with meth. It was a bad time.
Barotrauma is a game with the most unbelievable horrors and somehow i find Tails the most traumatisng out of them all
Any time y'all play Barotrauma it's garunteed to be a good time. For us, not necessarily for you XD
Also, only Ignis could think that attempting to overdose a massive sea leviathan beyond mortal comprehension with methamphetamine is a good idea XD
Also also, Ignis deciding to take command of the Unluckiest Ship is perfectly fitting XD
That transition at 4:24 was amazing, fair play
I would love to see you play ss13 (Space Station 13) just what you need more chaos and more space adventures
I absolutely love what all of you guys do. It always brightens my day
3:00 First time I got ballast flora was solo (Because apparently none of my friends want to die kilometers under the ice) and let me tell you: I discovered a new phobia that day. And apparently its acidic barnacle things.
I mean, I'll be fair, that's a sensible phobia to have.
Inside every ballast flora outbreak is a thalmas waiting to get out. No mercy.
Gets me grossed out and itchy.
I've seen those outbreaks.......the horror..... the horror.
No but in all seriousness I can't tell what's worse, Ballast Flora outbreak or Husk Infection.
(Which do you guys think is more horrific?)
Ah, nothing better than getting into bed, chilling, and watching raptor's videos before eventually drifting off into sleep....To the sound of horrified, chaotic screaming of the crew. Such good content 💯
I don't know why but out of all the horrors in this game, 2:58 scares me the most
10:09 this part was too good
"Because on Europa, OSHA can't hear you scream" 🤣
There is something oddly appropriate about using the William D Port for this game given the ships history
The meth induced monstrosity shall haunt my dreams
again these screams belong in actual horror movies the cut offs are just so perfect.
YES I BEEN WAITING FOR ANOTHER ONE THANK YOU RAPTOR
I’ve been slowly falling in love with this game! I’ve been playing it recently. At first I was very frustrated playing it because I didn’t understand how to play. I’m still very new only got 48hrs on the game but I’m having a blast and met some awesome people. I first saw a latcher when I went out to get minerals the captain said it was safe next thing I know I see eyes in the distance. I said what is that next thing I knew I was screaming and my radio went silent I died and all my other team mates where screaming LATCHER!!!! When we all died we had a good laugh over it. Let’s just say that thing gave me even more PTSD then I already have 😂.
"Hey, who turned out the lights?" *Dies by invisible floating piranas that only kill in shadows.*
"We once believed there were horrors beyond our understanding in the far reaches of space, lingering and waiting. This was wrong, for it was within the ice crusted moons of Jupiter that the horrors lurked, in the untold fathoms of the abyssal depths." Captain of EES Ignis Corp.
That start with Dark souls music was perfect
At 2:30 hearing anchors aweigh Gabe me PTSD 😂.
Once again more chaos and eldritch horrors to make my day. Thank you for such great content
As soon as i heard "William D. Porter" I knew this was the willie D. Crew reincarnated and tbis was going to be ABSURD.
hell yeah more barotrauma!
This game has consumed my life recently. I had an itch in my throat a few days ago and cried waking up one morning like I was ten years old.
10/10 game would give myself psychological trauma again
I like the implication that the Latcher just blasts Dark Souls boss music in the depths of the ocean.
Love how this game can turn anyone into a voice actor
Both the DEA and ATF would like a word about that railgun rubix
I can't believe Jay was a secret Space Station 13 chemist all this time...
The fear in his voice at 1:43
I rewatch all the Barotrauma vids and somehow you detected this anomaly and decided to fill my addiction with more vids
The edit at 4:23 was impressively smooth, like I didn't even realize a switch happened until the man hit the ground smooth!
Loved "The Doors" reference there at the end
Barotrauma is one of my favorite things to see on your channel, because it just fits so well with the insane chaos that Ignis personifies. I would gladly watch a longer-form version of these particular videos.
I will say that Terry never fails to make me smile at the least, either going from being an ye'olde butler to a rallying war-cry whilst being surrounded by unknowable horrors from the dark blue abyss is fantastic.
This chaos is beautiful. Please keep playing this game together, you all are so unhinged
Thanks for the fun Baro video as always, Jay. Seeing Jay and the crew dealing with Ballast Flaura made me recall my group's first (and so far, only) encounter with them. Several of us were just yelling as our inexperienced captain went 'what is ballast flaua?' Needless to say, several of us had acid burns and I somehow died cause someone's flamethrower was aimed too low and burnt the scalp off my character.
Fun fact: Cyanide is now beyond OP, You can take out an abyssal creature with 3 of it :)
The Latcher is also the only abyssal creature that can directly kill you
Raptor, your editing skills have become phenomenal. Keep up the amazing work.
Yesss more Barotrauma. I'm stoked. Annnnd finished. It was as glorious as I had hoped. Ignis members contained within a small destructable space is even more unhinged than allowing them loose with bombs and planes.
Wasn't expecting Terry to be a respectable butler
YOOO!!! THE BAROTRAUMA EPISODES ARE MY FAVORITE (I FOUND YOU THROUGH THEM) SO I'D LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THESE IF YOU WANNA MAKE THEM!!! I LOVE YOUR CONTENT ANYWAYS AND YOUR EDITING STYLE THO SO DO WHAT YOU HAVE FUN WITH!!
the Willie D is the most fitting US ship they could have ever put in this game. a beacon of incompetence.
I almost drowned IRL when you said "I'M going to splice my genes with a dolphin"
I was trying to drink at that moment lol
anybody else felt that Dr. Who when someone sad:"HEY! Who turned off the lights?"
Leviathan Monster: fights fairly using tactics
1 enemy submarine: **nuke**
One of your best videos ever! Would love to see more!
3:57 i get the 'steepled fingers and frown' vibes from him saying that idk why but its funny
Did you guys notice at 3:29 when Jay is suggesting loading the railgun with morphine Thers a sign that says don't listen
I like how Jay says “Why did we try that?” My brother in Christ it was you Jay. The “we” is a figment of your imagination, a way to deflect the guilt of giving Eldritch horrors meth.
These videos always seem to come out at just the right time
Soon as I heard “USS William D Porter” I knew it was gonna be good lmao
Oh! Barotrauma is such a great game, it's always such a happy surprise when a youtuber I follow uploads a video on it. If you see this comment, please keep playing barotrauma, each video consistently becomes my favorite of your channel each time!
I do hope you'll make more barotrauma videos. They're so far my favourite type on this channel
Fighting the abyssal terrifying horrifying creatures of the depths of Europa can be a very *abysmal experience!*
Raptor's Friday uploads are always a blessing at the end of the week.
As soon as 1.0 launched, I was waiting for another video on the horrors of the Europan deep. Was not disappointed in the slightest.
I kow exactly that Doctor Who reference at 11:04 and 11:16! To this day - I still get creeped out (to put it lightly) from that episode! 😅
I have covid right now and laughing at this video is genuinely killing me. The coughing from the laughter is so painful, but so worth it.
The Freebird Harmonica mod is one of the greatest mods in Barotrauma, honestly. So glad it had a spot in the video lol!
My husband's been on a Barotrauma binge lately (He got me and his friends into the game, and he's making his third submarine for the Steam Workshop) and it's been a blast playing the game with a group. Personally, I can't play the game solo, but I do love playing medic.
Your drug-filled railgun strat would have probably worked better with Cyanide instead of Meth, but this was still really great to watch lol! Thanks for the videos, they're a weekly delight for me and my husband.
Shameless plug but, if anyone wants to try his ships on the Steam Workshop, they are the "Alicorn", the "Specter" and I believe he'll release his third one as the "Eminent Domain," two of those named after Project Wingman. The Specter is called that because he wanted to make a tiny stealth ship.
Edit: I would also recommend, should you guys still play, to have someone dedicated to making Safety Harnesses for everyone. They are instantly taken off when you reach for a dive suit, and they're just great in general to keep yourself from being thrashed around so much from the water and blunt-force-impact of the creatures.
I love this game and your vids too, keep up the good content
You put the funny pipe sound effect, good work.
I thought I was the only one that remembered the Chuck E. Cheese firefighter game 😂
2:33 the sonar of the nuke
I absalutely love the way ypu edit
That boss music from the outside plus the smashing sound
"Hey who turned out the lights?" was probably a doctor who or fallout reference.
