Truly is work of art that! The banking operations were just superb! One of the operators kindly let me behind for a look at how it was all done. Certainly gave me a few ideas...
Certainly was a superb line-up. However, I have to disagree regarding the 'toy' comment. We all have different level of skills; some exhibitors I've seen at various other shows had only just started in the hobby often display their first layouts, other are in there 90s, while some event use modelling as a form of therapy. At the end of the day it's a hobby, something for us and others to enjoy 👍
No worries at all David, was good to see you too. Took me pretty much both days, but got there in the end (just so much to see)! Really was a superb event.
Moorsview is simply stunning! They run BR steam during the morning at exhibitions (as seen here) and diesels during the afternoon to mix it up. Always a pleasure to see at shows
@ 13:50 - I'm sure I've seen this in 1 of your previous vids - or may be these modellers move from 1 exhibition to another!!! See I do take note of your vids!!! 😉🚂🚂🚂
Watching this video you realize all the things you can improve on your own model railway. In my case that's a lott. The scenery is stunning. I thought I was heading in the right direction with my improvements but now I realize that I have years of work ahead of me. I have only one problem, my bank account 😂😂😂
Indeed! I always come away from these sort of shows with new ideas, its why I always enjoy going to shows. The analogue bank on Shap certainly got me thinking!
I have a different story. I am 71, been collecting model train stuff since before I left school, have everything to start, but have never built a layout.
@@briancritchley5295 Hi Brian, as long as you enjoy your collection it isn't necessary to built a layout. My collection spent a long time in boxes on the loft. I didn't have the space to built a layout. When my daughter left our home I quickly built a layout in he room before my wife confiscated the space. 😂😂😂 Although I enjoy the collection it is also nice to see them in action on my layout. Now my grandson is getting interested so I'm teaching him to built stuf so one day he can enjoy working on his own layout as I did enjoy it for the past 17 years. Working on my layout is a therapeutic activity for me so I won't get bored.
@@jefwisse1957 Hi Jef, my daughter left home twenty years ago so I have a spare room but when I ask permission from the leader of the opposition its a firm NO. I have now the courage to throw caution to the wind and start building, its something that must be done.
@@briancritchley5295 I agree, point out that if you wouldn't start now, your leader will end up with a very grumpy old board man who might make her live miserable. 😂😂😂
Nice to see that some of the modellers could be bothered to put train crews actually in the cabs and brake vans, generally they seem to run driverless trains.
Brilliant and massively massiveness....... I live in an apartment and dream of having a layout one day ..... building it myself.....maybe not quite this big but just as detailed...... I'm here in the States and truly appreciate the different style of European design in model railroad cars .....👍🇺🇸🦫🎸🏒⛄🎄😎
So fantastically beautiful and detailed, you get warm in the stomach. 1000 thanks for this wonderful film.
Nothing better than watching trains running it’s in my blood for life

How refreshing to see an exhibition of beautifully crafted layouts. I’ve watched too many of late that have featured ‘toys’.

Great video. I don't know about anybody else, but I hate to see operators leaning on the backscene!
Many thanks!
Damn, wasn't aware of this :(
Hopefully will be on again next year

Glad you enjoyed my efforts with the loco crews and guards on Fry's Somerdale. 👍

Glad you enjoyed it! Some of the layout just show you don't need a large space for a model railway
