It's so much more than race tracks that have gone by the way side. It's brotherhoods, friendships and life long family that goes with it. It's refreshing to see these videos, to see the history continue to live on.
Wonderful to see another video. It is so appropriate to see the Magicar and yourself because your series of videos have been absolutely magical for all of us, Thank you Bill.
Oh, Darrell. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. It's been 3 1/2 years since my wife and I lost our two beautiful adult children, but it seems like yesterday. And that event just took the wind right out my sails. But as time passes. I've been longing to get "Back in the saddle again". So I may be slow on the uptake, but I'll come up with more as times and energy permits. Just know that your positive feedback truly helps. Have a nice day. Bill
@@vintagedragsters I had heard about your loss and it is something that is beyond comprehension for most of us. My sincerest condolences. If the day comes and you feel like "saddling up" we will be here. All the best, Darrell
Thank you , Seemore. As we get older. Have devastating loses. It's hard to get "back in the saddle". I do it for my crew, for my Heroes, and you. As long as you're out there and drop me a positive note, I can pull myself up there and ride for a bit. Thank you for taking the time. See you down the road. Bill
@@vintagedragsters If you film it, we will watch! All I have to do is to play a video of a fueler cackling away, close my eyes and I can smell the nitro when im nowhere near it! All the awesome early days of drag racing was well before my time but its in my blood. Living vicariously through you!
Hi Bill. I just read the new National Dragster. Sadly, I see Mike Kuhl, Tom Hanna, Ed Garlits, and Woody Gilmore passed away in 2020. I hope you folks are doing well. It's a good thing you have taken the time to document all this history. Thanks again.
Me too Kyzer. I wasn’t there when the Black Beauty crashed, but there were other meets that were just breathtaking! The two out of three match race with Norm Weekly and Tommy Ivo. Ivo’s 4 engine “Show Boat”. The “Sour Sisters”, the “Kamikaze” of Jack Williams. The “S&H Red Stamp Special”. Jerry Baltes’ “Yellow Bird”. The “Red Dog” of Cope Brothers and Cook. I remember so much. 🙂
That's right, BlandNutz. Their need to win that top fuel trophy and just enough cash to make it to next week, drove them on. Thank you for your reply. Have a good day. Bill
Love the sounds and the violence when they switch it over to nitro, almost brings tears to a grown mans eyes when watching it, and for sure tears when in person, oh the burn is so good.
Great name for a great car. You get to see the magic every time the car starts did you see these three gentlemen turn into teenagers as soon as the car started LOL
Hi V Dub. We all do. There's such and excitement that builds coming up to the start. I pulled the right side head off because of a little problem. It's just with any little problem, it can turn into a BIG PROBLEM when running nitro. Engine just want so DEVOUR anybody neat by. I think that's part of the draw. I really do! Like moths to a flame. You just can't help yourself!
Good to see you boys still burning nitro and a Mr Pitts update! Good to see Magicar too! Any chance we could get a Mr. Higginson update on his rebirth of the Surfmobile? Best wishes!
Modern EV machines are cool and represent state of the art but, no way, can they ever compare to the coolness, wickedness of a machine like this gorgeous dragster!
Great video! I wish Kathy and I could get out there to see you. We stay in touch with Pat, on facebook. I was racing at Cecil County when I saw this video on RUclips. Keep the stuff coming. Love it. Cool mustache! LOL!
As always Bill, great post thank you. I always look forward to your videos and worry when you go quiet for a while! Bill, please can you tell me what the plastic bottle squirts in to the intake as the engine winds down. Also, can I ask how far advanced is the ignition timing on nitro please?
@@vintagedragsters Bill, thank you very much for answering my questions. I do hope you are all ok, I always look forward to your videos. With very best wishes from Dorset UK.
Hi Denny. About 4 years ago, my wife and I lost our two main reasons for living. Our 23 year old daughter and our 26 year old son two weeks apart. That "took the wind out of my sails", so-to-speak. Please understand. Bill
The blown 392 Hemis are one of the best looking engines. Having the distributor behind the supercharger makes for a very good looking motor.
This never gets old...Thanks...
Glad to see a new post from you Bill, keeping the memories from the glory days alive!!!
Thanks Brian. Your note spurs me on. Let's see what mischief I can get into next? ;)
Thanks, guys. This will never get old. Brings tears to my eyes...literally!
